ABC has revealed a major death that will occur in season 4 of Will Trent. The show is returning later than usual – along with other popular programs – as ABC delays them until the latter part of the 2025-2026 TV season. Because Will Trent has performed well in ratings, ABC decided to keep it on the schedule. While the extended break is annoying, the cliffhanger ending of season 3 is making the wait even harder for fans.

The season 3 finale of Will Trent had a lot of shocking moments. The biggest surprise was Angie revealing she’s pregnant with Seth’s baby, which will likely be a major plot point in future seasons. Both Ormewood and Amanda are recovering from their injuries, though they’ll still show the scars – both physical and emotional – of what happened. While they both survived, their near-death experiences will definitely continue to affect the storyline.

ABC is making a smart choice by avoiding any major cast changes on Will Trent right now. The show already has a lot going on – Angie’s pregnancy and the unfolding story of Will’s family – and adding a significant death could make things overly complicated for viewers.
