Guard Crush Games and Dotemu have announced details about the new content for their fantasy beat ’em up, Absolum. Update 1.1, scheduled for release in early 2026, will introduce “Mystic Ordeals” – special challenges players can tackle after completing the game’s main story.
One example is Scavenger Ordeal, which removes level-end rewards but still lets enemies drop items. While details are limited for other Ordeals, players can create and share their own custom challenges.
You’ll also find dangerous areas with tougher enemies and better loot. The frequency of these areas can be adjusted with Mystic Ordeals. If you want to make the entire world incredibly difficult, you can fully corrupt it – it’s the biggest challenge, but offers the greatest rewards.
Plus, we’re adding Elite Mounts – enhanced versions of your current mounts with even more powerful attacks – and fresh new skins. Characters will also get new emotes, each with its own special voice line.
We’ll share more information about the update when it’s released next month. Absolum is currently playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can read our review of the game here.
