
This summer, The Arcade Crew and DoubleMoose will launch the cooperative first-person shooter Abyssus on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, along with a major update (version 1.3). A physical “Brine Edition” of the game, including the base game and four cosmetic DLC packs, will also be released for PlayStation 5, distributed by Silver Lining Entertainment.
Abyssus first launched for PC via Steam on August 12, 2025.

Get ready for Abyssus, a cooperative, first-person shooter roguelike with a unique brinepunk style! It’s launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series this summer, and players on all platforms will be able to play together thanks to full cross-play.
Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam can now play together for the first time! At launch, the game features full cross-platform multiplayer, letting you team up with friends in groups of one to four to explore a sunken civilization and fight against its corrupted inhabitants.
Players eager to fully enjoy Abyssus can now pre-order a physical copy for PlayStation 5, set to release this summer. This version includes all cosmetic downloadable content currently available for the game.

Update 1.3 is coming soon with the launch of Abyssus on PlayStation and Xbox! This free update will add a ton of new content to your underwater adventure, including more weapons and items.
- A new God will be joining the lineup, introducing a host of new blessings for your abilities and weapons.
- New blessings will be added for the previously existing Gods, too.
- A new playable area arrives, introducing new enemies and bosses alongside it.
- New room objectives will be added to make sure that no two runs are ever the same.
- A revamped and expanded skill tree & streamlined matchmaking and quickplay options.
- Crossplay will be available at launch across all platforms.
- New sea shanties, the best way to build team camaraderie.
A new update is available now, and with it comes the “Brinerot Pack.” For $3.99, you can customize your Brinehunter with a new suit, helmet, emote, and portrait frame.
