PlayStation Plus Essential (and other subscription tiers) members can now look forward to a new selection of free games starting February 3rd! This month’s lineup includes Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Subnautica: Below Zero, ULTROS, and Undisputed. You’ll have until March 2nd to add them to your library.
Released for PlayStation 4, Ace Combat 7: Skies of Unknown puts you in the cockpit as Trigger, a pilot fighting for redemption during a war between Osea and Erusea. Since its 2019 launch, this critically acclaimed air combat game from Bandai Namco has sold over seven million copies. If you’re looking forward to Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, playing Ace Combat 7 first is highly recommended.
I’m really excited about Subnautica: Below Zero! It feels like a great way to get ready for the next game, especially since it’s coming to PlayStation now. It introduces new characters and lets you explore above the water, which is a cool change. While it didn’t get quite the same amazing reviews as the first Subnautica, it’s still a fantastic survival and crafting game, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a new adventure.
If you enjoy sci-fi side-scrollers, check out ULTROS on PlayStation 4 and 5. It features stunning, psychedelic visuals by El Huervo (known for Hotline Miami) and a fantastic soundtrack, making for a truly unique experience. For boxing fans, Undisputed (PS5 exclusive) offers deep gameplay with over 70 fighters and a complex system of Attributes and Traits to learn.
