The sequel to the unveiled-but-not-yet-released action RPG, Lords of the Fallen 2, is set to have its complete debut during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event in the upcoming week.
According to CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski (who shared this on Twitter), which is where the news was originally hinted at by Gamescom host Geoff Keighley, there had been prior speculation among fans that it concerned the upcoming sequel of Lords of the Fallen.
It’s worth mentioning that the 2023 edition of Lords of the Fallen was generally praised by many and has built quite a reputation as one of the standout Souls-like games available today.
Initially, we rated the PS5 edition as 7 out of 10 at its release. However, since then, the game has undergone significant updates. A massive 2.0 patch was released in April, which essentially breathed new life into the title.
Anticipation for Lords of the Fallen 2 is quite high, let’s hope its unveiling receives a positive response. If all goes well, it might turn out to be one of the standout surprises in Geoff’s major event.
Based on our current knowledge, it seems the sequel is slated for a 2026 release. There’s a chance we might get an exact date during Opening Night Live, but we anticipate it will likely be released towards the latter part of the year. By this time next week, we should have more clarity!
