It’s only been a little over a month since Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was released, but players are already discussing the next installment. Many believe the next game will be Modern Warfare 4, as it’s Infinity Ward’s turn to develop a Call of Duty title, and early rumors are beginning to surface.

To be honest, I wasn’t very excited to hear about another Modern Warfare game. I’ve really enjoyed the last two Black Ops titles – Black Ops 6 and 7 – and they reminded me why I love Call of Duty. I’d started to lose interest with games like Modern Warfare 2, 3, and Vanguard, but Black Ops brought me back.

I have to give Infinity Ward credit for being proactive and sharing information early on. Regardless of whether the recent rumors are accurate, it’s clear that open communication is essential for keeping the Call of Duty community engaged and informed right now.

Launching the new game around the same time as Grand Theft Auto 6 is already challenging. Because of this, building excitement and getting people interested beforehand will be crucial.
