When fake AI-generated videos started circulating online—videos showing the comedian saying his daughter, Sadie, was involved in an incident at a Chanel store—he dismissed it as “just a silly thing.”

Adam told People magazine on February 6th that he was shocked by a rumor he’d heard about himself. He said it was completely fabricated and bizarre, and he had no idea where it came from. He insisted the story was entirely false and ‘100 percent insane’.

Even though he called the AI-generated story terrible, Adam playfully admitted a rumor about him is actually true: he really did go to In-N-Out Burger late one night and order a lot of Double-Doubles.

Online, a fake video using AI shows Adam Sandler claiming his oldest daughter was embarrassed when a Chanel store in Beverly Hills wouldn’t sell her a handbag because of what she was wearing. He shares his daughters, Sadie and Sunny (age 17), with his wife, Jackie Sandler.

In a TikTok video, a person pretending to be Adam recounted how a sales associate looked down on a customer and directly told her that the $28,600 limited-edition Chanel Classic Flap bag was reserved for genuine customers.

The videos claim that Adam’s daughter then texted him about what was happening, causing him to immediately go to the store.

I directly asked one of the employees if she was making assumptions about people based on their appearance,” the AI explained. “Then, I instructed the manager to wrap up all twelve styles of the classic flap bag – a total purchase of $312,000.”

This isn’t the first instance of a celebrity needing to debunk something created by AI. Earlier in 2024, Katy Perry had to clarify that a photo showing her at the Met Gala – which even her mother, Mary Perry, believed was real – was actually AI-generated.

Katy recently shared a text from her mom praising the beautiful dress she appeared to be wearing in a photo. Katy quickly replied, letting her mom know it was actually created by A.I. and to be cautious about what she sees online.

Some celebrity gossip is just a slight exaggeration, but other stories are so unbelievable, they seem made up. Here are some of the most shocking things celebrities have admitted…
