Adele’s Fiancé Rich Paul Makes Rare Comment About Their Romance

It seems that it took a while for the tables to turn between Adele and Rich Paul.

The 16-time Grammy winner initially told the sports agent their connection was just a friendship, and they maintained that for a while. He wanted to avoid things becoming complicated or awkward.

Paul explained to Craig Melvin on the June 9th episode of the Glass Half Full podcast that he’s never been one to pursue people who are already well-established or popular, knowing they likely face that attention often. He said any connections he’s made happened naturally, without him actively seeking them out.

I’ve been following this couple since the rumors started back in 2021, and he’s usually very private about his personal life. But he recently set the record straight – he and his fiancée didn’t meet through a setup by friends, which is what a lot of people thought!

We used to spend a lot of time together, just having fun and joking around. It was a friendly relationship, nothing more. But then things changed, and I suddenly became someone they were watching closely.

I was really surprised to hear Rich Paul, the founder of Klutch Sports – you know, the guy who represents huge stars like LeBron James, Jalen Hurts, and A’ja Wilson – say he wasn’t actually a big Adele fan before he got to know her. It’s funny to think someone representing such massive artists didn’t initially gravitate towards her music!

He explained that, of course, you hear the popular songs everywhere. He added that he stays aware of what’s happening in music, so he’s familiar with a lot of songs, especially the big ones, but he’s learned even more over time.

Adele isn’t the only talented vocalist – Paul jokingly claimed to be the best singer in the group.

Adele, who has a 13-year-old son named Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, has generally been private about her current romantic life. She has, however, shared in the past how much she appreciates spending time with Paul.

During her 2021 concert special, One Night Only, she told Oprah Winfrey that he’s incredibly funny and also very intelligent. She was amazed by his talent and how well he performs.

As for one of her favorite aspects of the romance?

“Just the easiness of it,” Adele added. “It’s just been very smooth.”

Adele hasn’t said much publicly about her relationship, but she showed everyone she still loves her partner’s sense of humor when they shared a laugh while watching a Los Angeles Lakers game against the Dallas Mavericks in November 2022.

The couple was spotted at courtside once more as the Los Angeles Lakers played the Denver Nuggets in game four of the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
