Adrian Grenier Shares Condition for Acting Return After Texas Move

Adrian Grenier is hoping to form an entourage of his own in Texas.

After five years of living on a farm in Texas following his time in Los Angeles, the actor best known for his role in Entourage shared what kind of part would entice him to return to major acting.

Adrian recently told Page Six that the film industry is increasingly heading his way, with three new movie studios being built nearby. He believes there’s no reason they can’t keep filming in Texas.

Although he still feels fondly about California, the 49-year-old wants to live closer to his wife, Jordan Roemmele, and their two sons, Seiko, who is two years old, and Evren, who is eleven months old.

“My family’s in Texas,” he explained, “so I’d like to stay close to home.”

Adrian is now choosing his acting roles more carefully. His new short film, Self Custody, is one of the few projects he’s taken on since moving to Texas. He was particularly interested in the film because of its focus on cryptocurrency – he’s openly said he’s a big supporter of Bitcoin.

Adrian explained that he chooses roles based on personal meaning and his own beliefs. He’s fortunate to be able to be selective and doesn’t have to accept every job offered.

So, was that why he didn’t return to star alongside Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada 2? Actually, no.

He admitted he was disappointed not to be asked back for the sequel, but also acknowledged that some viewers didn’t like his character, Nate, which could be a reason why.

Still, Adrian noted, “We’re all fans of the movie, whether or not we’re in it.”

Although Adrian would have definitely agreed to a sequel, he has different plans for his character, the chef. Some fans actually think this chef is the real villain in The Devil Wears Prada, even more so than Meryl Streep’s famously cold Miranda Priestly.

“It leaves room for a beautiful spinoff,” he jokingly added, “in which Nate has his own film.”

Lindsay Lohan is frustrated by ongoing speculation about her decision to leave Los Angeles. Looking back on her busy career and social life in the early 2000s, she explained that she wished the intense media attention hadn’t overshadowed her work. In a March 2024 interview with Bustle, she said the constant paparazzi focus created a narrative that took on a life of its own, and that’s why she felt the need to step away and let her work speak for itself. While she did move to London and Dubai, and even started beach clubs in Greece, Lohan also wanted to escape the constant spotlight.

Lindsay Lohan once worried she might never find love, questioning if it would ever happen for her. She realized she needed to focus on herself before things could change, and that’s when opportunities started to appear – the things she truly wanted to pursue.

She did eventually find love with Bader Shammas, marrying in 2022 and welcoming their son, Luai, in 2023.

Although they currently live in Dubai, Lindsay hasn’t left acting behind. She continues to star in films like Our Little Secret, Irish Wish, and Freakier Friday.

“I’ve always wanted to be around people doing lots of other things that would take my mind off work and help me develop in different ways,” he said, adding that variety is what makes life fulfilling.

So, Josh, along with his wife Tamsin Egerton and their four children, moved to the countryside of Hampshire, England. He told The Guardian in July 2024 that while life with four kids is busy, it also simplifies things, allowing him to focus on what truly matters.

Despite the move, Josh remains an active actor, having recently appeared in Verity, Fight or Flight, and Trap.

Jennette recently shared that she regrets many of the acting roles she took in the past, detailing these feelings in her 2022 memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. She explained she often feels frustrated with her career and deeply unfulfilled by the parts she played, describing them as cheesy and embarrassing. Having worked on those shows from ages 13 to 21, she felt self-conscious about her work as early as age 15, noting her friends didn’t share her enthusiasm for her Nickelodeon appearances.

Despite her past experiences, she hasn’t ruled out returning to acting. She explained to TopMob News in October 2022 that writing her book helped her consider acting in a new light, free from the pressures she felt before. She believes the only way she might consider it again would be if she wrote a role specifically for herself.

It seemed like a pretty easy decision. The chance to marry Prince Harry, devote ourselves to causes we care about, and wear the Queen’s tiaras would definitely make leaving Hollywood worthwhile.

Like Grace Kelly before her, Meghan Markle transitioned from a successful acting career – best known for her role in the TV show Suits – to a life within the British royal family. Now that she and Prince Harry have stepped down as senior royals and moved to Montecito, California, Meghan is returning to professional life. This includes a production deal with Netflix, where she released the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan and will launch a lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, in 2025. She told Gwyneth Paltrow that she realized she wanted a different lifestyle. After years of intense work and filmmaking, she felt burned out. She explained that making a movie is all-consuming—you work incredibly long hours for months and have no personal time.

I’ve always been someone who loves to explore different passions, and lately, I’ve really been diving into wellness. After the success of my books, The Body Book and The Longevity Book, I found myself less focused on performing, and more interested in this new path. I actually told InStyle a while back that I wasn’t really missing performing at all! But, even with all that, I’m open to the idea of doing something creatively again – maybe just one more project. Beyond that, I’m enjoying focusing on family with my husband, Benji Madden, and continuing to learn and grow in the wellness space.

Jamie Foxx explained to TopMob News that convincing Cameron Diaz to star in the 2025 Netflix movie Back in Action involved a lot of pleading. He said they ‘begged on our knees’ for her to agree, emphasizing how much they wanted her and how excited they were about the project.

Jack isn’t a child star anymore, and some of the initial excitement has faded. He explained that now that acting could become a career, it felt different. Previously, it was just a fun hobby he shared with friends during summers. He still enjoys acting, but turning it into work has altered how he sees it. It’s not that he dislikes it, he simply doesn’t want it to be his profession.

After taking six years off, Jack returned to acting in 2020 with a role in the BBC series Out of Her Mind. Since then, he’s also been in films like Rebecca’s Boyfriend and In the Land of Saints and Sinners, and TV shows including Safe Harbor and The Famous Five.

It was a beautiful thing to see, honestly – a reminder that family always comes first.

Fortunately, fans will soon see him back on screen alongside Josh Gad in the upcoming Disney reboot, Shrunk.

After her son, Martin, joined his sister, Louisanna, in 2014, she firmly decided to step away from acting. She told Us Weekly in 2016 that she was now completely focused on being a mother and supporting her husband, Jimmy Kimmel, with his work, while also pursuing painting as a hobby. She explained that raising her children was the primary reason she had stopped acting.

She’d built a successful career with shows like Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, Arrested Development, and Scandal. After those experiences, the Australian actress started to feel like it was time for a change.

Turning 45, I started thinking about trying something completely new and challenging,” she shared on her wife Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show in 2018. “I had a good idea of what my acting career would look like for the next decade or two, so I decided to leave acting and start my own business instead.”

Her company, General Public, which creates art for everyone, was almost complete – she just needed to finish one final piece.

I spoke with Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, and told him I wouldn’t participate in a fifth season because I had decided to stop acting. He was very understanding and supportive, and we had a good talk. Surprisingly, he ended up writing me into five episodes anyway.

Following his sixth Academy Award nomination for his 2017 film, Phantom Thread, the actor announced through his representative that he was retiring from acting. The statement expressed his gratitude to those he’d worked with and his audience over the years, and clarified that this was a personal decision, with no further comments to be made.
