Jelly Roll has been making music for years, but recently found huge success crossing over into country. This has earned him Grammy awards and created new opportunities. He’s branched out into acting with roles in shows like Fire Country and Tulsa King, and even stepped into the world of WWE wrestling. He’s confirmed he intends to return to the wrestling ring at some point.
Earlier this year, the singer competed against Logan Paul in a tag-team match at WWE Backlash, but unfortunately lost. He recently discussed his future wrestling goals during an interview on the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast.
I definitely plan to wrestle again. I want another match – I feel like I have more to offer, just like Bad Bunny probably felt after his first match, which is why he’s doing Backlash now. He likely knew he could give even more in the ring.
Compared to many celebrities who’ve briefly appeared on Monday Night Raw, Bad Bunny has become a standout example of a successful celebrity-turned-wrestler. The popular singer, who is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2026, truly dedicated himself to WWE, delivering some exciting matches that resonated with wrestling fans. In early 2025, Bad Bunny expressed a desire to wrestle professionally again, similar to what Jelly Roll had said.
Jelly Roll is now a successful musician, and he’s aware of that. While he’s very busy, he’s thought about what he’d do if he had another chance to fight, and has a plan for how things would ideally go.
I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for, but ideally I’d like to commit to something for a while – maybe six to nine months. I’d love to wrestle regularly, like every Friday. I definitely want to do at least one more, though. It’s like anything in life – you think you’re ready, but you quickly realize there’s always room for improvement, and you end up focusing on what you could have done differently.
It’s hard to see how Jelly Roll could commit to wrestling every Friday night for six to nine months, considering how other celebrities only appear occasionally. It would be a similar commitment to John Cena’s farewell tour, so while Jelly Roll might be interested, it seems unlikely to actually happen.

Hey WWE Fans, Can We Have An Honest Conversation About John Cena’s Retirement Tour?
The estimated timeline doesn’t account for the extra training he’ll need to become a skilled WWE performer. He needs to practice to deliver a great show and, more importantly, to stay safe and protect his opponents. It’s a significant commitment, but others like Logan Paul have proven it’s possible to balance WWE with other commitments.
Now would be the ideal time for Jelly Roll to return to WWE, especially heading into WrestleMania in 2026. WrestleMania is a great opportunity for celebrities to get involved, build excitement for the event, and have a match with a WWE superstar who isn’t currently part of the main storylines. A rematch against Logan Paul seems like a natural fit, and Jelly Roll could potentially win this time around.
I’m curious to see if Jelly Roll might show up at the 2026 Royal Rumble on January 31st. I’d enjoy seeing him wrestle again, and if it goes well, I’d be really interested in seeing him involved in a longer, ongoing storyline.
