After a long wait for Season 3, fans are worried that the future of the anime One-Punch Man is uncertain. The series, originally based on ONE’s manga, started strong in 2015, but excitement faded quickly. Season 2 saw a switch in animation studios—from Madhouse to J.C. Staff—and many viewers felt the animation quality declined. Combined with a six-year gap between seasons, the return of One-Punch Man with Season 3 may not be enough to revitalize the series.
Despite having time between seasons to fix issues, the third season of One-Punch Man hasn’t been well-received. Fans expressed concerns early on, and with a low 7
One-Punch Man Season 3 Took 6 Years to Arrive, and Part 2 Won’t Be Here Until 2027

Immediately following the end of Part 1, it was revealed that One-Punch Man Season 3 will continue with Part 2… but not until 2027. While anime often release in multiple parts, a two-year gap between them is unusual. Typically, these parts are spaced only a few months to a year apart, making this news about One-Punch Man Season 3 disappointing, especially after fans had already waited a long time for its return. Some shows have successfully come back after long breaks (like Attack on Titan), but most maintain some level of momentum when they do.
Unlike some anime that keep viewers hooked, One-Punch Man has had trouble maintaining interest, consistently giving audiences less reason to tune in. While excitement dipped after a disappointing Season 2, many fans still hoped for more from Saitama’s story. However, after the first part of Season 3, that’s changing. The recent episodes have left the show in a vulnerable position, and even dedicated fans may not want to wait another two years for a continuation, especially with the risk of further disappointment.
After Season 3’s Disappointing Start, Another Wait Could Kill the Anime for Good

I’m watching the situation with One-Punch Man Season 3 closely, and I’m a little worried. The creators have time before Part 2 comes out to address the problems with Part 1, but the fact that they haven’t done so already – especially after a six-year delay – isn’t a good sign. The series really needs to improve, and quickly. But even if it does, I’m not sure if fans will be willing to give it another try after all the animation issues and this new wait. A lot of people were already losing interest after Part 1, and this extra delay might be the final straw. It could completely kill the show’s momentum, and potentially even lead to cancellation. It’s a tough spot for a series with so much potential.
