Age of Attraction Finale: Find Out Who Broke Up and Who Got Engaged

Warning: This story contains spoilers from the Age of Attraction finale.

Age wasn’t just a number for every couple.

The finale of Netflix’s Age of Attraction, which aired on March 25th, didn’t result in happy endings for everyone. The five remaining couples, who had significant age differences, participated in a ceremony where they revealed whether they planned to stay together or break up.

Jorge Sanchez, 60, and Vanelle Fenmou, 27, had already grown apart before the season ended. They argued about Vanelle choosing to remain celibate and Jorge’s reaction to an incident with a stranger.

Leah Woolfolk, 41, and Chris Dahlan, 26, ended their relationship in the finale after a period of challenges, as described by Dahlan.

He told her, “There have been ups and downs, and I want to cherish all of it. It’s important that we keep being honest with each other. We’ve discussed our age difference a lot, and it seems like that gap was more challenging than we realized.”

Leah believed they could work through their issues. She told him, “I know things haven’t been great for either of us, but I want to see us both happy and healthy, and explore if we can achieve that together. I’m committed to trying.”

Despite enjoying the relationship, he ended things, explaining that he hadn’t felt truly himself while they were dating.

Logan Goodrid, 29, also pointed out the challenges of dating Vanessa Drozda, 49.

He admitted to her at their Commitment Ceremony, “Things haven’t been easy for us.” He then wondered if the difficulties they faced were ultimately damaging, or if they actually helped them grow.”

He explained that things had been tough and he didn’t want to make commitments he couldn’t follow through on, so he needed the ring back. This led her to respond that she usually trusts her initial feelings, and perhaps she’d been trying to force something that wasn’t meant to be, realizing she’d misjudged things before.

But Logan threw her—and viewers—for a loop when he changed his tune.

He admitted he doesn’t need to be perfect, just someone consistently there for her, through everything life throws their way. He expressed a desire for their relationship to continue, describing it as an exciting, if unpredictable, journey he wasn’t ready to end.

Logan proposed to Vanessa by getting down on one knee and playfully referencing this as her fifth engagement, telling her she deserved a ‘Kobe ring’ – a humorous way to acknowledge her history.

She admitted she’d imagined every possible outcome before coming on the show, but never pictured falling in love. ‘I came in with an open mind,’ she said after accepting his proposal, ‘and I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out.’

Find out how the couples – Derrick Fleming and Pfeifer Hill, Theresa Demaria and John Merrill, and Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler – are doing after the finale of Age of Attraction.

Even though there was a 20-year age difference, Pfeifer decided to move from Seattle to Dallas to attempt a relationship with the father of two, a move she described as a sacrifice.

She told him at their commitment ceremony how incredibly lucky she felt to have found him. ‘So many people search their whole lives for what we have,’ she said, ‘and I’d be heartbroken forever if I walked away without you.’

Theresa received a supportive letter from her three grown children, which gave her the confidence to move forward with her relationship despite the age difference (she was 54, he was 27). Feeling validated, they decided to pursue their love and commitment to each other.

Knowing they wrote that to you makes me feel so much better and happier. I hadn’t even seen what it said! That’s why I don’t want to end things here,” she explained, then added privately, “What really matters is our connection, not how long we’ve known each other.”

Vanessa was enthusiastic about starting a relationship with Logan and eager to share her life with him, but Logan was unsure, mainly because of their significant age difference. He worried he might not be the right match for her.

He asked for the promise ring back on Commitment Day, telling her he was unsure if their relationship was good for them – if it was healthy or harmful.

Once they removed the rings, Logan was finally prepared to commit to her and surprisingly proposed.

He described their journey together as an exciting and unpredictable one, but said he’s completely committed to continuing it. He expressed his deep love for the person, adding that they deserve all the good things in life, including a championship ring like Kobe Bryant’s.

He proposed with an engagement ring, asking her to spend the rest of her life with him, and she happily accepted. This will be her fifth engagement.

Chris, 15 years younger than Leah, ended the relationship because he felt overwhelmed by her constant desire to be with him.

We’ve discussed our differing viewpoints and were upfront about what we each expect in a relationship from the beginning. It seems we both ultimately want a family and to settle down, but perhaps on different timelines, he said. He also felt the age gap created unnecessary pressure, making it difficult for him to be himself for the first time.

As he put it, “That’s why ultimately, I feel that this partnership is not right.”

So, how did Leah react to the breakup?

I’ve always hoped someone would choose me, but I refused to chase after it. I also realized I can’t change someone to fit my idea of a partner. I came to this retreat hoping to find love, but it didn’t happen. Ultimately, I discovered a lot about myself – I’m strong, smart, and beautiful – and I know my future partner will be lucky to have me.

He worried he was holding Libby back from enjoying her twenties, but she told Andrew, who is sixteen years older than her, that she believed he would simply enhance her life.

He told her, ‘It feels like things are finally falling into place for me, like this could be the start of a really great love story.’ He laughed, admitting he was being a bit corny, and added that he’d been giving a lot of thought to where things were headed. ‘I’m not sure what people call it now – a ‘hard launch’ or a ‘soft launch,’ or something even more modern – but I’d really like to start dating you, officially.’

Libby agreed, with the pair making plans for her to go to Baltimore to meet his daughters.

Despite a significant age difference – he was 33 years older than her – the couple didn’t last until the final Commitment Day. They broke up while still living together, due to disagreements about Vanelle’s choice to remain celibate and an incident where Jorge confronted someone on the street.

However, she noted, “I don’t necessarily think it has anything to do with his age.”
