Season 2 of Ahsoka is bringing in several actors who have also worked on Marvel projects. With Disney owning both Star Wars and Marvel, we’re seeing more and more crossovers between the two franchises – Pedro Pascal, who stars in both The Mandalorian and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is a recent example of this trend.
Season 2 of Ahsoka features a large cast, building directly on the story of the Star Wars Rebels animated series. Nine characters from Rebels are confirmed to appear, including Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. The season continues their story after they were separated and sent to different parts of the galaxy, especially focusing on the enigmatic planet Peridea.
After the tragic passing of Ray Stevenson, Rory McCann stepped in to play Baylan Skoll. McCann shared a lot of screen time with Ivanna Sakhno, who played Shin Hati, and the two actors served as the main villains with powers of the Force throughout the season.
Plus, Ahsoka Season 2 kept up Disney’s pattern of using actors who’d previously worked on Marvel shows, bringing familiar faces to the Star Wars universe.
3 Ahsoka Season 2 Cast Members From Marvel
Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson is the most prominent actor to successfully move between roles in both the Marvel and Star Wars universes.
Rosario Dawson played a key role in Netflix’s Marvel shows as the character Claire Temple, a nurse. She first appeared in Daredevil and then became a recurring character, linking together the stories of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A few years after that, she began playing Ahsoka Tano in the world of Star Wars. She first appeared as the character in live-action in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, then in The Book of Boba Fett. In 2023, she even starred in her own series, simply titled Ahsoka.
I’m so excited to hear that Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Ahsoka will be sharing the screen with Hayden Christensen again! They had such great chemistry while filming just before the first season wrapped, and it all stems from those incredible Clone Wars flashbacks we all loved. I’m really hoping he’ll be back as a Force Ghost to help guide Ahsoka – that would be amazing!
David Tennant

David Tennant played the villain Kilgrave in the first season of the Marvel Netflix series Jessica Jones in 2015. His performance was highly acclaimed for adding a strong psychological element to the show and is considered one of the best villains in Marvel Television from that time.
David Tennant later became involved with Star Wars, starting in 2023 when he voiced Huyang, an old Jedi droid, in the series Ahsoka. He continued in this role for the show’s second season.
Huyang’s continued existence uniquely linked the Jedi Order’s prime in the Clone Wars era to the time after the Empire, as seen in Ahsoka (around 9-12 years after the Battle of Yavin). He kept alive knowledge and customs that were believed to be lost forever when Order 66 decimated the Jedi.
Steve Blum

Steve Blum is a veteran voice actor with a long history at both Marvel and Star Wars. He’s particularly famous for voicing Wolverine in several animated shows like Wolverine and the X-Men and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. He’s also voiced other notable Marvel characters, including Red Skull and Beta Ray Bill.
I’ve been a huge fan of Taylor Gray’s work as Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios in the Star Wars universe. He really brought Zeb to life in Star Wars Rebels as a vital part of the Ghost crew. It was amazing to see him continue the role in live-action with The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. And it’s not over yet! I’m so excited to know he’ll be voicing Zeb in the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie and Ahsoka Season 2. It’s great to see a character I love continue to be a part of the story.
Bonus: Eman Esfandi

As a huge fan of Ahsoka, I was thrilled to hear that Eman Esfandi is coming back as Ezra Bridger for Season 2! Seeing him reconnect with Sabine and Ahsoka on Peridea in Season 1 was amazing after all those years of separation. It was so cool watching him forge a new lightsaber with Huyang’s help, and his role in stopping Thrawn at the Great Mothers’ Fortress was pivotal. Most heartwarming of all was finally seeing him reunited with Hera and Chopper after almost ten years – a truly emotional moment for any Star Wars fan!
There’s been speculation, reported by Daniel Richtman, that he could appear in a future Spider-Man movie, possibly as a new love interest for Zendaya’s character, MJ. If this happens, it would be another interesting instance of actors moving between the Star Wars and Marvel universes, both owned by Disney.
