Get the details below.
■ Main Visual
■ Main Cast Introduction
◆ Daiki Shinjo (portrayed by Hiromitsu Kitayama)
Character Profile
He founded Shirosawa Games and quickly gained recognition as a “genius creator” with his first game, which was a huge success. However, his following games didn’t achieve the same level of popularity.
He has two younger sisters. The youngest, Ruri, was one of six girls who disappeared in Akihabara thirteen years ago – a case that remains unsolved and is known as the “Akiba Disappearance.”
Feeling stuck and unfulfilled, he decides to revitalize his life by creating a video game inspired by the tragic event that involved his sister. He names it *AKIBA LOST*.
Actor Comment
It’s been a fantastic, yet challenging, experience to not only become a character in a game, but also to collaborate with the talented team at IzanagiGames and other gaming professionals. I’m incredibly proud that what we’ve built together can now be enjoyed by players worldwide.
Working with such a skilled and diverse cast has really enriched the game, creating a special connection between everyone involved. It’s a new and exciting challenge, and imagining players around the world enjoying it makes me want to play it myself!
◆ Aoi Shinjo (portrayed by Sayuri Matsumura)
Maid
Character Profile
The younger sister of Shinjo, she works as the manager of a maid cafe in Akihabara.
Ever since her younger sister, Ruri, went missing, she and her brother have argued frequently. He became absorbed in creating games, and they’ve been distant for the last thirteen years. After high school, she stayed in Akihabara, the place where Ruri disappeared.
She generally keeps to herself, but sometimes shows a playfully harsh side that many customers find charming.
Actor Comment
“I’m Sayuri Matsumura, and I play the maid in AKIBA LOST.
It’s a dream come true to finally feel like I’m living inside the anime and games I’ve always loved! We’re excited to share the unique culture of Japan, starting from Akihabara, with everyone around the world.
“We did a lot of shooting. A LOT.
I was really surprised by the innovative way they filmed this game. It brought out details and clues in the story that weren’t obvious when I just read the script. I can’t wait for players to uncover those secrets for themselves!
“Each cast member has a carefully crafted story, which is truly impressive.
“I hope everyone dives deep into the world of AKIBA LOST!”
◆ Yukimi Kurahashi (portrayed by Momoko Tanabe)
Game Streamer
Character Profile
She’s a designer at Shirosawa Games and a well-known game streamer. She started streaming because she’s passionate about games and has built a large audience as a result.
Having loved Shinjo’s first game, White Crash, he relocated to Tokyo and confidently joined the team at Shirosawa Games. He greatly admires both Shinjo and the company’s co-founder, Takasawa, seeing them as mentors and role models.
His occasional Tohoku accent that slips out during streams adds to his charm and draws in viewers.
Actor Comment
It was a real privilege to voice a character in a game for the first time! We’re used to watching characters’ stories unfold in movies and TV shows, but it’s a completely new experience to *be* the main character and actually decide how the story goes.
The game includes some video scenes, but relies heavily on still images. As someone with experience in traditional video game acting, my main goal was to bring the characters to life and make them feel real so players could fully immerse themselves in the experience.
We all make choices, both important and small, every day. I want players to feel immersed in the story and enjoy seeing how their choices shape the world around them.
◆ Moe Kurosu (portrayed by Misato Ugaki)
Gourmet Writer
Character Profile
A gourmet writer specializing in Akihabara, known for exploring the district through its food.
She started as a writer covering many topics, but around three years ago, she discovered the vibrant subculture of Akihabara. Now, she shares her take on everything from classic restaurants to trendy new cafes and quirky dining spots. Her personal style is evident in her relaxed clothing and accessories, while her strong, independent personality is mirrored in her sturdy vehicle.
Actor Comment
I spent my childhood playing games like *Puyo Puyo*, *Pokemon*, *Zelda*, and *Mario Kart*, and those experiences taught me a lot that I really value. So, it means a great deal to me to now be involved in creating a game myself.
I play Moe Kurosu, who seems like a fun-loving, always-hungry older sister, but is actually a determined and powerful woman. It was tricky balancing those two sides of her personality while filming.
At first, I wasn’t sure about the unusual way the game was filmed, but I had a fantastic time working with the team to create the world of *AKIBA LOST*. I really hope players enjoy experiencing it as much as we enjoyed making it!
◆ Kokone Nagato (portayed by Yui Oguri of AKB48)
Underground Idol
Character Profile
She’s an up-and-coming idol who performs mostly at small venues in Akihabara, and is a member of the group Baby☆Macaron. While she embodies the traditional idol image, she’s incredibly driven to succeed. Interestingly, she has a distinct separation between her stage persona and private life, often sporting designer clothes and accessories when she’s not performing.
Actor Comment
I’m really excited to be working on this project – it’s a unique blend of gaming and television!
I’ve always believed in adapting to new things, so I’m really excited to try performing in a different part of the entertainment world.
“With that in mind, the cast and staff worked together wholeheartedly during filming.
“I hope everyone can experience this fresh, unique form of entertainment through the game.”
◆ Chihiro Jimbo (portrayed by Azusa Ohara)
Shrine Maiden
Character Profile
A shrine maiden working part-time at Kanda Myojin, the guardian deity of Akihabara.
A childhood experience led her to believe in gods and feel immense appreciation for Akihabara. She’s a passionate gamer who excels at even the most challenging action games. Known for her calm and kind personality, she often says, “Kami desu…” which means “It’s divine…”
Actor Comment
“I’m Azusa Ohara, playing Chihiro Jimbo.
I’ve always enjoyed watching game streams, so I was really excited to get this job.
I always thought of myself as someone who watched from the sidelines, so it was surprising to actually become involved. It was a learning experience for everyone on set, and we spent a lot of time trying out different approaches.
I’m really happy to be involved in this project and I can’t wait to share it with the world. I hope it brings joy to a lot of people!
◆ Wakana Yusa (portrayed by MINA of East Of Eden)
Cosplayer
Character Profile
Okay, so I stumbled upon this cosplayer in Akihabara, and she is *dedicated*. For over ten years, she’s been rocking Ririka from Magical Elementary Student Ririka – she totally *is* Ririka, you can tell she loves the character. She actually moved back from overseas, so her English is perfect, and she’s super friendly with all the tourists. Seriously, she’s got this amazing energy and can talk to anyone, which is awesome because she’s completely committed to being Ririka – she’s a pro!
Actor Comment
“I’m so happy to be part of AKIBA LOST, which is full of new ideas and challenges!
I’m normally a bassist or play in a band, so being in a game was a first for me – a totally new experience.
I was completely new to everything – acting, understanding the daily schedule, and even the industry jargon. I learned something new every day from everyone on set.
“But the filming was incredibly fun, and I’m glad I jumped in.
I’m a bassist, and I was so surprised and happy to get this amazing new opportunity! I’m really thankful for it.
Seven of the main actors from the game will be appearing on stage at the Tokyo Game Show’s business event, and the event will be live-streamed on YouTube.
