Alan “Yu” Menglong, Star of Netflix’s Eternal Love, Dead at 37

Netflix fans are mourning a beloved star. 

The beloved actor Alan “Yu” Menglong from the series Eternal Love passed away on September 11th, after falling from an apartment in Beijing’s Chaoyang district, China. His team officially announced this sad news in a statement. He was only 37 years old.

In sadness beyond measure, we share the tragic news that our cherished Menglong passed away following a fatal fall on September 11. The police have confirmed there was no foul play involved. Our heartfelt prayers are with him, may he find eternal peace, and we send strength to his family during this difficult time.

Menglong boasts a number of acting roles such as “The Legend of the White Snake”, “Love Game in Eastern Family”, and “Go Princess Go”. It was his role in “Go Princess Go” that brought him nationwide acclaim in China.

Initially making a name for himself as a popular television personality across Asia, Menglong initially embarked on his career within the music industry. He participated in multiple Chinese talent competitions such as “My Show! My Style” and two seasons of “Super Boy”. In the second season, broadcasted in 2013, Menglong advanced to the top ten contestants, and after this experience, released a single titled “Just Nice” in 2014. The following year, he dropped his debut album, entitled “Toy”.

Upon hearing about his demise, numerous fans expressed their sorrow through various social media sites. One fan posted beside a picture of Menglong, “It’s incredibly difficult for countless reasons.

Another added, “It’s truly regrettable that he passed away in such an unforeseen way. RIP.”

Certainly, since Menglong’s passing was initially announced by local Beijing photographers, many of his followers are still coming to terms with this sad news.

Upon learning the news, it seemed too unbelievable, as if it were just a rumor. However, this is what another fan expressed on X: ‘Your absence, Yu Menglong, will surely be felt.’

Menglong’s last acting credit was in an episode of Feud that aired earlier this year.
