*Warning – contains full spoilers for all six episodes of Alice and Steve.*
You can now watch all six episodes of Alice and Steve. The season finale leaves viewers with a dramatic cliffhanger!
On the eve of Steve and Izzy’s wedding, a fire breaks out at the reception hall and quickly spreads, destroying the entire building. Alice bravely rushes back inside to rescue Steve, who doesn’t even realize there’s a problem, and they both become trapped on the roof.
The two seem to make amends, then jump from the building, leaving their ultimate destiny unknown.
In a recent conversation with TopMob, writer Sophie Goodhart explained that the show’s ending wasn’t meant to be open to interpretation, and she’s already developed ideas for a potential second season.
Whether or not there’s a second season will depend a little on how well the show does. If it’s renewed, there’s already a specific plan in place for what happens next.
If people don’t understand the ending, it will be confusing… Please encourage everyone to watch it, so I can earn more revenue!
During a recent interview with TopMob for our series, The TopMob Writers’ Room – where we explore the minds of screenwriters – Goodhart shared that her original ideas for season two have already evolved.
She explained she has ideas for the second season that she can’t share, as revealing them would give away key plot points. She also mentioned the current storyline has changed from what was originally planned, but she couldn’t discuss the details.

I decided I wanted to fully investigate this idea and see how far I could go in finding an answer.
I prefer shows that are upfront about characters’ emotions, so I aimed to resolve everything within one season. While a second season is possible, I don’t anticipate the story going beyond that.
