As the release date for Alien: Earth draws near, members of the FX series cast have expressed their ideas about a possible crossover with the Predator universe. In a recent chat, Babou Ceesay, Timothy Olyphant, and Sam Blenkin discussed how their on-screen characters might react if they encountered a creature from the fearsome Predator franchise.
Alien: Earth cast share their characters’ reactions to a Predator crossover in the future
During a conversation with ScreenTime, Ceesay, Olyphant, and Blenkin shared their thoughts about their Alien: Earth characters. They all agreed that if these characters encountered a Predator in a hypothetical crossover film or show, they would show great curiosity.
In the upcoming series, Ceesay, who plays Morrow – a cybernetically enhanced cyborg, expressed that Morrow would likely find great interest and fascination in their role. Similarly, Olyphant, portraying Kirsh, Sydney Chandler’s synthetic mentor and trainer, echoed this sentiment, suggesting that the three of them share a common understanding and enjoyment while acting together. He then turned to his co-stars and added, “Don’t you agree? It feels like we’re all just playing.
In contrast to some others, Sam Blenkin appeared more composed when considering his character from Alien: Earth encountering a Predator. As the CEO of Prodigy Corporation, Boy Kavalier, who is always eager for knowledge and power, Blenkin joked, “I’d guess we’d all be thrilled. I might even say, ‘Hello, I’m Boy Kavalier!’
To date, two films have been produced where the terrifying cosmic horror series, Alien and Predator, clash – these include “Alien vs. Predator” in 2004 and its sequel “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem” in 2007. Director Dan Trachtenberg of “Predator: Badlands” has expressed interest in creating more films that continue these shared narratives, stating, “It would be amazing to tell more stories with deeper connections.” Additionally, elements from the Alien series may appear in “Predator: Badlands,” but an official announcement regarding a new crossover project is yet to be made.
