The first season of Alien: Earth began airing last August, and although it was officially renewed in November, there haven’t been any updates about when the next episodes will be released.
Because the show relies on a lot of special effects and has a high-quality look, it will probably be a while before season 2 is ready after filming is finished. The good news is we now have an estimated timeframe for when post-production work will begin.
Sydney Chandler, who plays Wendy, told Deadline that filming will start in May, beginning in Thailand before relocating to Pinewood Studios in London.
Chandler shared that she hasn’t received any of the scripts yet, but Dana Gonzales, an executive producer and director, has confirmed they are currently being developed.
Gonzales recently shared a photo on Instagram of an office door at Pinewood Studios, hinting at the start of season two of “@alienearthfx.” They expressed excitement about continuing to develop the show’s world within the famous studio known for its work on the “Alien” films.
FX Chairman John Landgraf announced the show’s renewal, expressing excitement to continue their long and successful partnership with creator Noah Hawley, who has been behind some of FX’s most popular and acclaimed series.
Noah consistently delivers fresh and imaginative stories. What truly sets him apart is his talent for not only writing these stories, but also brilliantly directing and producing them, bringing them to life in a captivating way.
