As a die-hard Alien fan, let me share my take on the plot of “Alien: Romulus.” Following the events of the original Alien and before the sequel, Aliens, this story unfolds. In this film by Alvarez, we join a band of spirited young adults from a mining settlement, embarking on a daring mission to plunder cryo-chambers at the Romulus/Remus station. These chambers would prove crucial for their long voyage to a distant colony. Upon arrival, however, we find the station eerily abandoned and silent.
In the movie “Alien: Romulus”, we delve into snippets of the station’s troubled past. The story begins by unveiling that a xenomorph cocoon, found aboard the wreckage of the USCSS Nostromo (the ship where Ellen Ripley served), was taken to the station. Later in the film, Romulus’s android scientist, Rook, reveals that the xenomorph from the cocoon escaped and brutally killed the crew, an event we will witness unfold in Marvel’s prequel comic.
