Fans have created stunning artwork imagining the cast of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday together in a large group photo. Marvel Studios has confirmed 27 actors for the film, including Robert Downey Jr., who will play Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man. Doctor Doom’s journey through the multiverse will pit him against heroes from different realities, and artists are eager to see even more characters join the fight.
Artist @itoonofficial shared new artwork on Instagram featuring all the confirmed heroes for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. The image includes members of the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and others. It’s similar to a group photo taken in 2018 to mark the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans are excited to see these characters together, especially members of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, and the artwork even includes some heroes who are currently rumored to be in the film.
Which Heroes Are Returning in Avengers: Doomsday & Who Else Do We Want to See?
Robert Downey Jr. will be back for Avengers: Doomsday, and he won’t be alone! Twenty-six other Marvel actors are confirmed to return, including Yelena Belova, the Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, Ghost, US Agent, and Sentry. We’ll also see potential members of Captain America’s new team – currently an all-male group – like Thor, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, Falcon, and Loki. Heroes with vibranium-powered abilities, such as Black Panther, M’Baku, and Namor, will be back, along with some exciting new faces.
The upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday, will explore different universes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing back characters from alternate realities. This includes the Fantastic Four – Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing – and the X-Men. We’ll see familiar faces from the X-Men films, like Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Mystique, Magneto, Gambit, and Nightcrawler, and there’s potential for even more heroes to join the team.
Fans are hoping to see a lot more characters join the cast of Doomsday, beyond the current 27. Popular requests include Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Chris Evans potentially as Nomad. Many also want to see characters like Scarlet Witch, Monica Rambeau, She-Hulk, the Young Avengers, Moon Knight, Captain Marvel, the Hulk, Jean Grey, Storm, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Eternals included in the film.
