The entire trilogy of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Infinity Castle” will unfold within the span of a single evening, promising an action-packed ride filled with intense battles before it concludes. The journey begins with the first film that delivers long-awaited major fights by fans, but this comes at a cost as there are numerous winners and losers throughout these encounters.

Within “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” alone, five significant characters meet their end. To shed light on the magnitude of each death’s impact on the storyline and fan reactions, here is a ranking of their consequences:

1. [Character Name 1] – The most impactful death that leaves a lasting effect on the series and shocks viewers.
2. [Character Name 2] – A significant character whose death plays a crucial role in propelling the story forward.
3. [Character Name 3] – An important supporting character whose passing causes emotional turmoil for other characters and fans alike.
4. [Character Name 4] – A valuable member of the Demon Slayer Corps, their death adds layers to the ongoing battle against demons.
5. [Character Name 5] – Though a vital character, their passing contributes less to the overall story arc compared to the others mentioned above.

5.) Kaigaku

A significant conflict in ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle’ unfolds between Zenitsu Agatsuma and the enigmatic figure known as Kaigaku. It is disclosed that Kaigaku was once a fellow student of Lightning Breathing alongside Zenitsu, and their shared goal was to continue the Lightning Breathing Style. However, Kaigaku grew resentful when he realized they were both intended to inherit this style. He perceived himself as superior and found it demeaning that his future with the style was supposed to be shared with Zenitsu. Feeling insulted, he chose to transform into a demon and aimed to usurp Gyutaro’s position as one of the Upper Six.

In their confrontation, a demon with an extraordinary breathing technique was bested by Zenitsu. Despite having abilities surpassing Zenitsu’s, Kaigaku was defeated. It was suggested that Kaigaku had not been a demon for long enough to fully master his power, allowing Zenitsu to strike before Kaigaku could become even more formidable – a move avenging Zenitsu’s fallen grandfather. However, compared to other deaths fans may care about, this one falls lower on the list.

In a fierce battle, Zenitsu defeated a demon who possessed a unique breathing style. Though Kaigaku boasted abilities beyond Zenitsu’s, he was overpowered. It was believed that Kaigaku hadn’t been a demon for long enough to fully harness his power, which enabled Zenitsu to strike before Kaigaku could grow more dangerous – avenging the death of his grandfather. Regardless, this particular death is less significant compared to others in terms of fan interest.

4.) Akaza

In the movie, a significant battle featuring Akaza, Giyu, and Tanjiro is highlighted as a major event. This fight was the first to be showcased in the new film and receives considerable attention throughout Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. This emphasis is warranted given that Akaza is among the higher-ranking demons Tanjiro seeks revenge on, following his defeat of Kyojuro Rengoku during the Mugen Train storyline. The duo of Giyu and Tanjiro truly delivered in this fight.

In the end, Akaza was vanquished due to their teamwork and Tanjiro’s newfound ability. By activating the “Transparent World,” Tanjiro managed to engage in combat on par with Akaza, ultimately leading to the beheading of Akaza. However, it was Akaza himself who effectively ended the conflict, as memories of his former human life persuaded him to cease living as a demon.

3.) Keizo

delving into Akaza’s past recollections, viewers are given the opportunity to meet two significant characters who encounter tragic ends. Among them is Keizo, whose likeness mirrors Tanjiro, rekindling memories for Akaza. Known for his role as “The Avengers: Doomsday” character, Channing Tatum lends his voice to Keizo in the English version of the series. Intriguingly, it’s disclosed that Keizo was the one who trained Akaza (then known as Hakuji) in combat, offering him a chance at redemption after he had been branded a criminal due to his attempts to secure food and medicine for his ailing father. Despite the harsh circumstances of his life up until then, Keizo recognized Akaza’s hidden talents and welcomed him into his circle.

With Keizo as his roommate, Akaza slowly envisions a brighter tomorrow. Keizo hopes he’ll eventually succeed him at the dojo, and it appears this will indeed happen. However, tragedy strikes when Akaza discovers one fateful day that Keizo was secretly poisoned by a competing dojo, aiming for their property. This heartbreaking death sets Akaza on his dark, demonic journey, a memory he wouldn’t recall until he lay near death himself.

2.) Koyuki

However, what truly added a tragic twist to Akaza’s background was Koyuki. Initially brought into the picture as Keizo’s daughter, it was primarily for Koyuki that Akaza was recruited. She was battling a worsening illness, and yet she refused to abandon her, finding ways to instill optimism in her future days. In fact, this very act of unwavering devotion is something Akaza speaks of later, disclosing that Koyuki’s recovery was facilitated by the fact that Akaza never looked down on her. This determination and hope Koyuki found in herself were key factors in her eventual improvement.

Originally, Akaza and Koyuki were planned to wed since Koyuki had fallen for him, causing Akaza to temporarily leave the dojo to pay respects at his father’s grave and share their happy news. Upon his return, however, he discovers that not only did Keizo succumb to poisoned water from a rival dojo, but also Koyuki. The devastating loss propelled Akaza down a darker, violent path. Yet, catching sight of her before his own impending death provided him with tranquility and closure long overdue. Despite this poignant moment, the final demise in the film is even more heart-wrenching.

1.) Shinobu

In the third major battle depicted in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” Shinobu Kocho faced off against the Upper Two, specifically Doma. This confrontation was significantly imbalanced, with Shinobu immediately engaging Doma without a second thought. Although she knew her strength wasn’t sufficient to behead Doma, she held out hope that her poisonous attacks might offer some resistance. Regrettably, this strategy proved ineffective as Doma swiftly defeated her. The situation became even more tragic when Doma absorbed Shinobu’s body into his own.

In the scene, Kanao witnesses its descent, setting the stage for what appears to be their significant battle in the upcoming film of this trilogy. However, Shinobu’s death in this movie is undeniably the most poignant, as she was not only a crucial Hashira but also held immense importance in Tanjiro and the others’ lives. The movie unveiled that Doma was indeed the demon responsible for killing her sister, which prompted Shinobu’s quest for revenge. For now, her attempt at vengeance against Doma has been thwarted, leaving us eager to learn how their fight unfolds in the following two films.
