Streaming services mean that great TV shows and movies never have to be forgotten. Old favorites can find new life as younger viewers discover them and share their enthusiasm on social media, making them feel fresh and exciting all over again.
A classic sci-fi series consistently proves its place among the all-time greats by remaining relevant even as television changes. Now, with the rise of streaming, this show is reaching a new audience thanks to its availability on a widely used, free streaming service.
The Twilight Zone Is Now Streaming on Tubi

You can now watch all five seasons of the classic sci-fi series, The Twilight Zone, on Tubi. Created by Rod Serling and originally broadcast from 1959 to 1964, the show features a total of 156 episodes. Here’s a breakdown by season: Season 1 has 36 episodes, Season 2 has 29, Season 3 has 37, Season 4 has 18, and Season 5 has 36. Each episode is around 26 minutes long, adding up to over 67 hours of free, high-quality sci-fi television.
As a huge fan of classic TV, I’ve always loved The Twilight Zone. It’s an anthology series, meaning each episode tells a completely different, standalone sci-fi story. What really sets it apart, though, is Rod Serling – he wasn’t just the creator, but also the narrator, this mysterious voice who would introduce each bizarre tale. Then you’d jump right into the story with a new cast and some truly mind-bending premise. It was a massive hit because it brought science fiction to a wider audience at a key moment for the genre on television. What’s amazing is how Serling managed to create such compelling stories with limited resources – the special effects, sets, and costumes weren’t fancy, but it didn’t matter! The show’s cleverness is a huge reason why it still resonates with audiences today; it really holds up remarkably well even now.

Since the classic series ended, The Twilight Zone has been reimagined several times with remakes and revivals, though none have reached the same level of success. One notable attempt was a 1983 movie featuring stories directed by John Landis, George Miller, Joe Dante, and Steven Spielberg – it’s arguably the best thing to come from the franchise besides the original show. Following the movie, there were three more TV revivals: in 1985, 2002, and most recently in 2019, led by Get Out director Jordan Peele. However, these newer versions haven’t matched the quality of the original series created by Rod Serling.
Adding The Twilight Zone to Tubi is great news, especially since the streaming service is about to lose Mr. Robot, a popular sci-fi show, meaning it may no longer be available for streaming.
