All Creatures Great and Small welcomes ex-Coronation Street star in first-look clip

A familiar face from Coronation Street has already appeared in the current season of All Creatures Great and Small, and now another actor from the show is joining the cast.

This week on the show, Chris Gascoyne โ€“ famous for his role as Peter Barlow on the ITV soap โ€“ appears as Harry Coker. Coker needs a veterinarian for his dog racing track in this episode, which is the second-to-last of the current season. This follows a guest appearance by Lucy-Jo Hudson in the premiere.

James was concerned about the practice’s financial situation, so he took on an additional role to supplement his income.

According to the official description, James immediately begins working at Hensfield Racetrack, inspecting the whippets upon his arrival.

“However, he soon wonders if there is something else afoot.”

Elsewhere, Tristan has his hands full with “an aggressive parrot called George”.

I was worried the parrot might be sick, so he brought it back to Skeldale to keep an eye on it. But honestly, that bird quickly started to change his life โ€“ not always for the better, it seemed!

Maggie learns something surprising about Mrs. Hall, and Siegfried has a good time with Jimmy until Jimmy accidentally reveals an uncomfortable truth.

Enjoy new episodes of All Creatures Great and Small every Thursday at 9pm on Channel 5. You can also find James Herriot’s original All Creatures Great and Small book on Amazon.
