All Destiny 2 Renegade Weapons and Their Star Wars References

The new Destiny 2 expansion, titled Renegade, features a collaboration with the Star Wars universe, filled with nods to the iconic films. Bungie recently announced details about the expansion, explaining that while it’s inspired by Star Wars, it stays true to the Destiny 2 gameplay experience. Many of the weapons will look and feel familiar to Star Wars fans, but will have unique names and descriptions within the game. A trailer showcasing these weapons and gear was released on November 4, 2025, and is available to view.

You don’t need to watch the trailer closely to find all the Star Warsinspired weapons – we’ve listed them all below. A Reddit user from r/DestinyTheGame deserves a lot of the credit, as they first identified each weapon and its Star Wars origins. These weapons will be available in Destiny 2: Renegade when it launches on December 2, 2025, and they’re designed to feel like the gear you’d use fighting the Sith in the Star Wars* universe.

M-17 Fast Talker

The M-17 Fast Talker is a blaster rifle featured in Destiny 2 Renegade and inspired by the DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System. This versatile weapon was widely used by Republic Clone Commandos during the Clone Wars. While some continued using it when the Empire first rose to power, it became less common as Stormtroopers replaced the clone troopers. The M-17 could quickly switch between functioning as a standard blaster and a grenade launcher simply by changing its barrel. It could also be adapted for use as a sniper rifle or even an anti-armor weapon. You can see it frequently in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Battlefront II, Star Wars: Force Arena, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Uncivil Discourse

Star Wars fans will instantly recognize the Uncivil Discourse as the DL-44 Heavy Blaster, famously wielded by Han Solo throughout the films. Made by BlasTech Industries, this powerful pistol is designed to take down even large opponents. It holds 50 shots and can accurately hit targets up to 75 meters (about 246 feet) away. As Han Solo (Harrison Ford) famously said, a good blaster is better than any religion or old weapon, and his DL-44 was always by his side. The DL-44 continued to be a popular weapon during the time of the Empire, used by characters like a young Ben Solo and Poe Dameron.

All or Nothing

Boba Fett’s signature weapon, the All or Nothing, is an EE-3 Carbine Rifle made by BlasTech Industries. This blaster was widely used during and after the Galactic Civil War. It’s the same rifle Fett carries in Return of the Jedi. The EE-3 has a large magazine, fires more quickly than the standard Stormtrooper blaster rifle, and has a moderate range. While it wasn’t as powerful as bigger blasters, it compensated with better accuracy and a faster firing speed, making it a favorite for Fett during his bounty hunting career.

Compact Defender

The blaster seen in the trailer is identical to the one Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) used in A New Hope. Known as Satine’s Lament, it’s a defensive blaster pistol made by the Drearian Defense Conglomerate. It’s named after Satine Kryze, the former pacifist Duchess of Mandalore and a past romantic interest of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Though Satine’s Blaster doesn’t appear much in the Star Wars films, it’s frequently featured in Marvel Comics’ Star Wars comics and has also appeared in games like Star Wars Battlefront II.

Modified B-7 Pistol

This pistol, the K-16 Bryar, was used by Cassian Andor before the Galactic Civil War. It looks like a typical blaster, but it’s actually quite versatile. The K-16 has a special power unit that can function in two ways: it can power regular, continuous firing, or it can be charged up to deliver one incredibly powerful blast. This powerful blast can’t be used repeatedly – the pistol needs to recharge between uses – but it’s a devastating option when you need maximum firepower.

Refurbished A499

If you’re a fan of The Mandalorian, you’ll immediately recognize the A499 blaster as the one used by Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal). In the show, it’s called an Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster – a powerful sniper rifle capable of firing destructive blasts from long distances, even disintegrating targets. Din Djarin acquires it after Jawas scavenge parts from his ship. Interestingly, while the A499 is based on the weapon seen in The Mandalorian, an earlier version actually appeared alongside Boba Fett in an animated segment of the notoriously bad 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special.

Heirloom

The Bowcaster Chewbacca uses throughout the Star Wars films is appropriately named ‘The Heirloom,’ likely because it’s been passed down through generations of Wookiees. This powerful laser crossbow is larger than most weapons to accommodate a Wookiee’s incredible strength. Though the Bowcaster appears frequently in the movies and comics, its true power wasn’t fully showcased until The Force Awakens, when Han Solo briefly used it and was amazed by its range and stopping power. Bowcasters aren’t just Chewie’s signature weapon; they’re a popular choice among the Wookiees of Kashyyyk.

Praxic Blade

It’s pretty obvious what we’re talking about here – the lightsaber! Even if you’ve never watched Star Wars, you’d instantly recognize this iconic weapon. Lightsabers have been the weapon of choice for Jedi throughout their history, and their enemies, the Sith, use them too, but with crystals that create red blades. Building a lightsaber is a key step in a Jedi Padawan’s training with their Master, and they can be made in different colors. Jedi recognize seven distinct styles of lightsaber combat, with one style using two blades. The Sith, however, are known to use forbidden and unconventional fighting methods.
