This year, a special collection box for the game series “Life is Strange” will be available. It includes all five games in the series and every DLC. However, this release is exclusive to the PlayStation 5. For just $59.99, it’s an ideal purchase for dedicated “Life is Strange” fans or those new to the series who don’t want to buy each game individually.
Today, Square Enix unveiled a new collection that’s now up for pre-order on their official store. Players have the option to buy a box set, which comes with a physical disc carrying two games from the series. The remaining three games will be provided as redemption codes.
According to the official store, this box set includes a disc for “Life is Strange: True Colors” and “Life is Strange: Double Exposure,” as well as a redemption code that gives access to “Life is Strange: Remastered,” its remastered version “Before the Storm Remastered,” “Life is Strange 2,” all related downloadable content, and any pre-order bonuses.
On October 2nd, I’m thrilled to share that this collection includes every single DLC released and some exclusive pre-order bonuses, ensuring no fan misses out! For dedicated fans, be aware that a few titles will be delivered in their remastered versions instead of the original releases.
Upon its release, the enhanced version of the original “Life is Strange” stirred debate among fans due to the inclusion of extra content and modifications that others perceived as unwarranted.
In a 2022 social media post, the game and art director of Dontnod Entertainment, Michel Koch, concurred with a criticism regarding modifications to the lighthouse scene in the remastered version of “Life is Strange.
As a dedicated admirer, I eagerly anticipate Deck9 addressing the issue swiftly. To be transparent, the rhythm and flow of this time-travel game, more so than enhanced facial expressions in the grand design, hold significant importance for me.
Immerse yourself in five critically acclaimed, award-winning story-driven games, complete with all additional content and pre-order incentives from the Life is Strange series, exclusively on PlayStation 5 starting October 2nd!

Originally launched as a series of episodes in 2015, the game titled “Life is Strange” was jointly developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. Following their separation in 2021, Square Enix retained ownership of the intellectual property and tasked Deck Nine with taking over future development duties for the series.
For devoted enthusiasts of the series, it implies that among all the games included in the collection, only Life is Strange 2 was exclusively developed by Dontnod.
On previous occasions, Square Enix has launched a set of games for the Life is Strange storyline. In 2022, they unveiled an upgraded collection that included both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, offering improved visuals within the series.
This update placed more focus on capturing facial expressions through motion and improving character models’ details. While some enthusiasts found this appealing, others believed it diminished the overall user experience.
One reason some fans perceive the remasters unfavorably is due to their notoriety for technical issues that disrupt gameplay or break the immersive experience. These concerns, initially raised at the time of release, continue to linger among fans.
One X user commented, “I’m crossing my fingers that DeckNine has addressed the issues with the remastered Life is Strange and Before the Storm; if not, I don’t think the collection is a good buy.
It’s unfortunate that those without a PlayStation 5 won’t be able to experience “Life is Strange,” but it’s delightful for fans who might have missed a few games in the series, as they now have one easy-to-access location to enjoy all five games in the series.
