The classic game “Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater,” originally released more than two decades ago, has been remade, but with many aspects remaining similar to the original version. However, it’s worth noting that some collectibles you may recall from each level might now be found in different locations. In this guide, we’ll focus on the collectibles found within “Chyornyj.
All Kerotans & Ga-kos Chyornaya Peschera in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
In simpler terms, the Chyornaya Peschera region encompasses three distinct ‘guides’, and each level of this cave houses unique items to discover. To aid your exploration, we’ll provide images of maps that mark the locations where Ga-ko (orange) and Kerotan (Green) can be found within the area.
Beginning with, take a look at the provided map image to locate the collectibles within the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch region. You’ll find the Ga-ko perched on some rocks just above the small waterfalls. The Kerotan, meanwhile, is nestled inside a smaller cave that you can crawl into.

Moving forward, when you arrive at the location marked by the green check mark in the picture, you’ll spot the Kerotan above you. The cave opening where sunlight filters through is where you should look. You will discern a small, green figure there, and that figure is the Kerotan itself.
Just like that, the next hiding spot for a Ga-ko can be found in a small opening where sunrays penetrate. Following a narrow footpath along a rock wall and continuing until the end of this pathway will lead you to the ideal vantage point to catch a glimpse of a Ga-ko high above, nestled within the hole that allows sunlight to enter.

As I traverse the final stretch of this intriguing cavern, my eyes are drawn towards the positions indicated on the map image below. Remarkably, these artifacts seem less concealed compared to their counterparts, making them relatively straightforward to locate.
Initially, you’ll come across the item known as a Kerotan in a secluded spot, tucked away from the primary route. Before entering this small area marked on your map where it lies, make sure to disarm the tripwires or traps on the ground first. Once you’ve taken care of those, turn around and examine the archway behind you, where you should notice the Kerotan sitting atop the natural rock formation.
Heading towards the marked location on the map, I can’t help but notice a sizable crack in the ground looming ahead. Hidden at its base is a cunningly disguised Ga-ko. Aiming at it could potentially earn me a reward!

Here it is, rephrased: This cave system has been thoroughly explored, but don’t forget there are plenty of non-collectible items worth finding if you look closely. Also, as you delve deeper, keep an eye out for hidden uniforms – one of them can even be unlocked during a boss battle!
