In the game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, as you continue with Operation Snake Eater, you’ll find yourself returning to Dremuchij. There, you can accumulate some extra Kerotans and Ga-Kos.
And another option:
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will have you revisit Dremuchij on a second mission called Operation Snake Eater. While there, you’ll have the opportunity to grab some additional Kerotans and Ga-Kos.
In simpler terms, Kerotans – which are toy frogs that were initially introduced in MGS3 and can be found in the same spots as earlier versions, while Ga-Kos are unique duck toys with camouflage suits (ghillie suits) available only in Delta. When you come across these toys, hit them to collect them. Gather all of them to earn some trophies and unlock highly potent new camouflages!
With that said, read on for all the Kerotan and Ga-Ko locations all over the entirety of Dremuchij!
All Kerotans & Ga-kos in Dremuchij (2nd Visit) | Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Virtuous Mission vs Operation Snake Eater
Before we proceed, it’s crucial to mention a point about this location: If you didn’t secure the Kerotans and Ga-Kos during the Virtuous Mission, you won’t find them here now as they have been replaced by new ones following Operation Snake Eater. The focus of our discussion will be on these newer entities.
It’s perfectly fine if you don’t manage to find all collectibles during a single gameplay session! You can simply start over and focus on finding them. They will still be added to your profile total. If you need help locating the Dremuchij (Virtuous Mission) Kerotan and Ga-Ko items, our guide might come in handy.
Kerotan #1 and Ga-Ko #1
Just as we found ourselves at the same location during the Virtuous Mission, the initial Kerotan and Ga-Ko from Operation Snake Eater can be located in a similar fashion. To find them, head towards the central-western part of the map, as illustrated above.
Upon arriving, search for a fallen tree. Both the Kerotan and Ga-Ko will be found beneath this tree, in the designated locations indicated in the screenshot provided earlier. The Ga-Ko should be particularly noticeable.
Near the bottom of the tree, you might find the Kerotan, which can be slightly harder to spot. However, with the provided image and its vibrant green color contrasting with the surroundings, it should become more noticeable for you.
On-Site Weapon Procurement
In this region, if you’re not playing on the easiest difficulty level, you might find it challenging to gather the upcoming Kerotans and Ga-Kos. For now, your arsenal is yet to expand as the story progresses. On the easier setting, though, you’ll have access to the EZ Gun as an alternative.
Disregard the collectibles in this region if you’re not on the Very Easy setting. For now, concentrate on advancing the story, acquire another weapon, then retrace your steps to continue gathering Kerotans and Ga-kos.
If you’re feeling adventurous, consider taking down the Kerotans and Ga-Kos that appear by aiming and throwing grenades at them. However, we recommend avoiding this approach as it can be risky and wasteful. You’ll soon acquire a new weapon, regardless.
With that in mind, let’s go back to the locations guide!
Ga-Ko #2
In the northern sector of Dremuchij, specifically its central region, you’ll discover the upcoming Ga-Ko location. Upon your arrival, you’ll be rewarded with a captivating visual sequence.
In the vicinity of where the cutscene occurred, look towards the northwest to find some charred trees. Atop one of these trees, you’ll notice a vibrant yellow Ga-Ko. Take aim and eliminate it, although it won’t actually fall, unfortunately!
Kerotan #2
Following the retrieval of the last Ga-Ko, move a little northward in Dremuchij North. To get a better angle for the upcoming Kerotan, let’s ascend a nearby tree for a more accessible shot.
Once you begin walking on the path, turn to your right to face eastward. You’ll notice a tree overgrown with vines ahead; feel free to ascend it if you dare, my friend! (Assuming ‘Snake’ refers to the person, I have replaced it with ‘you’.)
After climbing onto the tree branch, rotate yourself so you’re looking back towards where you originally came from, as that direction is west. You should see Kerotan, with its glossy green form, perched on a stone near the trail you previously followed.
Ga-Ko #3
Moving forward, head south from Dremuchij North to re-enter the Dremuchij Swamplands region. Once there, make your way to the eastern border of the central swamp portion.
The Ga-Ko can be found nestled in a tree on the eastern border of the swamp, which is not far from where we previously discovered trees housing a Ga-Ko during the Virtuous Mission. However, keep an eye out for the lurking crocodiles in this area.
Kerotan #3
You can find this Kerotan in the same central swamp as the previous Ga-Ko in Dremuchij Swamplands.
To reach the Kerotan, head towards Dremuchij North along the main path and then take a left turn so you’re facing westward. You’ll find the Kerotan standing near a tree right at the path’s entrance – it’s quite visible as it’s positioned out in the open.
Ga-Ko #4
Exit the Dremuchij Swamplands through its southern gate, leading you to Dremuchij South – the place where the Virtous Mission commenced. Head towards the southern region of this swampland area.
Turn your gaze towards the cliff and shift to your right, that way you’ll be looking southwest. You might find the camouflaged Ga-Ko sitting on a small rock jutting out from the edge of the cliff. It’s positioned at eye level with Snake’s head, so if you have a fear of heights, there’s no need to peer down!
Kerotan #4
The last Kerotan in this area! For this one, go to the southwestern section of Dremuchij South.
Upon arrival, direct your gaze towards the cliff located in the northwest region. The elusive Kerotan can be found atop some protruding stones in a hard-to-reach spot beyond the play zone. Take aim and fire to wrap up your quest for Dremuchij’s treasures!
During your second exploration of Dremuchij, as part of Operation Snake Eater in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you’ll come across all the Kerotans and Ga-Kos. We hope this information comes in handy! Searching for these mini collectibles across such a vast expanse can be quite challenging without some guidance…
