As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that in the immersive world of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, I’ll be returning for my second mission to Dremuchij. This time around, I can’t wait to gather more Kerotans and Ga-Kos!
In simpler terms, Kerotans (frog figurines) reappear in the game, just like they did in the earlier versions of MGS3. You can find these toys in familiar locations. Unlike Kerotans, Ga-Kos (camouflaged duck figurines) are unique to Delta and can only be found there. When you spot either of these toys, hit them to “collect” them. Gather all of them to earn some trophies and unlock some highly potent new camouflage patterns!
With that said, read on for all the Kerotan and Ga-Ko locations all over the entirety of Dremuchij!

Virtuous Mission vs Operation Snake Eater
As a fellow enthusiast, I want to share some essential information before diving in! If you weren’t fortunate enough to snag the Kerotans and Ga-Kos during the Virtuous Mission, I regret to inform you that they’ve vanished from this area. However, fear not! They were replaced by new entities during Operation Snake Eater, which are the ones we’ll be focusing on here.
You don’t have to collect all the items in a single game! If you happen to miss some, simply start a new game and focus on gathering them. The collected items will still be credited to your account. For help locating the Dremuchij (Virtuous Mission) Kerotan and Ga-Ko items, be sure to check out our guide.
Kerotan #1 and Ga-Ko #1
Just like during the Virtuous Mission, the initial locations for Kerotan and Ga-Ko can be found during Operation Snake Eater, specifically near the central-west region of the map. To locate them precisely, refer to the provided overhead view.
Upon arrival, keep an eye out for a fallen tree. Both the Kerotan and Ga-Ko will be found beneath this tree, at the locations indicated on the screenshot provided. The Ga-Ko should be more noticeable among the two.
Near the root of the tree, you’ll find the Kerotan, which might be slightly hidden. However, if you’re having difficulty spotting it, the image above should make it a bit clearer for you. Its vibrant green color contrasts nicely with the surroundings, making it quite noticeable against the dark backdrop.
On-Site Weapon Procurement
To gather the upcoming Kerotans and Ga-Kos here, you’ll need to play at the Very Easy level. Yet, your arsenal won’t expand until the storyline advances further. On the other hand, if you choose Very Easy, you can opt for the EZ Gun instead.
For those not on the Very Easy setting, let’s set aside the collectibles in this region for the moment. Proceed with the main story until you obtain another gun, then retrace your steps and continue to gather Kerotans and Ga-kos from here.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you could potentially throw grenades at the Kerotans and Ga-Kos that appear, but be aware that this method is risky and wasteful, and we don’t recommend it since you’ll soon have another weapon at your disposal.
With that in mind, let’s go back to the locations guide!
Ga-Ko #2
You’ll discover the upcoming Ga-Ko location nestled within Dremuchij North, right in the heart of the region. Upon arrival, you’ll be rewarded with a captivating cinematic experience.
Direct your gaze towards the northwest region where the cutscene took place, and you’ll notice some charred trees. Perched high up on one of these trees is a vibrant yellow Ga-Ko. Take aim and eliminate it! Alas, it won’t actually fall down, but wouldn’t that be nice…
Kerotan #2
After grabbing your last Ga-Ko, move slightly more towards the northern part of Dremuchij North. To capture the tricky Kerotan effectively without shooting from the ground, we’ll scale a nearby tree first.
Immediately upon setting foot on the trail, take a glance to your right and head towards the east. You’ll notice a tall tree with climbing vines growing on it. So, go ahead and scale that tree, Snake!
After climbing onto the tree branch, rotate yourself so you’re facing the direction you originally came from, which is west. You should see the glossy green form of the Kerotan perched on a nearby rock, close to the path you previously walked.
Ga-Ko #3
Next, head south from Dremuchij North to get back to the Dremuchij Swamplands region. After that, make your way to the eastern border of the central swamp area.
The Ga-Ko will be found in a tree located on the eastern border of the swamp. This tree is not far from where the trees concealed the Ga-Ko during the Virtuous Mission, provided you remember that location. However, do watch out for the crocodiles lurking nearby.
Kerotan #3
You can find this Kerotan in the same central swamp as the previous Ga-Ko in Dremuchij Swamplands.
As you approach the path heading towards Dremuchij North, take a left turn, which will have you facing west. The Kerotan is conveniently located near a tree right at the path’s beginning, making it quite noticeable since it’s out in the open.
Ga-Ko #4
To depart from the Dremuchij Swamplands, head towards its southernmost boundary, which will lead you to Dremuchij South. This is where the Virtous Mission first began. Proceed to the most southerly section within this region.
Turn your gaze towards the cliff and face the direction where southwest lies. You’ll find the camouflaged Ga-Ko on a small rock that juts out from the edge of the cliff. The creature is positioned at eye level with a snake’s head, making it accessible even for those who fear heights!
Kerotan #4
The last Kerotan in this area! For this one, go to the southwestern section of Dremuchij South.
Upon arrival, direct your gaze towards the northwest cliffside. You’ll find the Kerotan perched on top of some rocks near the edge, slightly out of reach within the game boundaries. Take it out and you’ve completed collecting all items from Dremuchij!
During your second expedition to Dremuchij in Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain – Operation Snake Eater, you’ll encounter all the Kerotans and Ga-Kos. We hope our information has been useful!
