Nearly a decade after its original release, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater has been remade using an entirely new game engine and boasting several subtle alterations. However, the core gameplay remains largely unchanged from its earlier version. This means that certain items or collectibles you may recall discovering in specific levels might now be found in different locations. Regardless of these changes, this guide will assist you in locating those elusive collectibles during your second visit to Rassvet.
All Kerotans & Ga-kos Rassvet (2nd Visit) in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
After a short while following your initial visit to Rassvet, you’ll be returning again for story-related purposes. Much like your first visit, locating all the collectibles here should be straightforward since the map remains largely unchanged, with only minor differences.
Upon reaching the level, make a beeline for the staircase straight away. Climb all the way to the summit of the structure. Once you get there, you’ll encounter another box housing a weapon – an AK-47. This is fantastic news for those players aiming for a deadly playthrough.
Regardless of whether you’re planning a non-lethal sprint, you can discharge this weapon into the sky, draining its ammunition. This action will add an empty magazine to your collection. It may serve as a useful distraction tool, making it more than just worthless!
In the following, let’s navigate the given locations: Kerotan and Ga-ko, as depicted in the image below. The Kerotan is located beneath the stairs, so simply ascend a few steps and peer below to locate it. To find the Ga-ko, climb up the stairs and gaze towards the damaged rebar facing the eastern direction. You’ll discover the Ga-ko perched atop one of the broken pillars above.

Additional items like equipment and face paint can be found near and inside the dilapidated building too, remember to explore the area thoroughly before progressing to the next stage of the game.
A cardboard box, notably visible, is perched on some crates in the center of the room where you encountered Ga-ko during your initial visit. It’s hard to miss.
The zombie face paint, conversely, is tucked away at the farthest corner in the back of the building. Thermal goggles can also be found inside one of the lockers here.
