AJ Michalka still has a place in her heart for her former lovebug.
AJ Michalka, one half of the musical duo Aly & AJ, recently shared fond memories of her brief relationship with Joe Jonas. They dated in 2006 after Aly & AJ toured as an opening act for the Jonas Brothers, and although the relationship lasted just over a year, she remembers it as a happy time.
Okay, so AJ was talking to *People* magazine, and honestly, it just confirmed everything I already knew! He said even though we were a couple, there’s always been a real friendship between us, and it’ll *always* be there. He explained it’s because we were just starting out with our music when we were together, and that creates this special connection that nobody else gets. It’s just…so sweet and unique, you know? It’s like, we built everything together, and that bond will never fade. I just *knew* it!
AJ also expressed her fondness for Joe, who shares 5-year-old Willa and 3-year-old Delphine with his ex-wife, Sophie Turner. She mentioned how wonderful it has been to reconnect with him as they’ve grown older.
The 34-year-old, who has been with actor Josh Pence since 2017, described her partner as a hardworking and kind father with a great sense of humor. She added that it was wonderful to see such kindness in him.
It had been about ten years since they last saw each other, but Joe and Aly & AJ reunited backstage at *The Kelly Clarkson Show* in May, which Aly described as a really nice surprise. The following day, Joe, 36, invited Aly and AJ to join him on stage at his Los Angeles concert to perform their song “No One.”
AJ said fans were happily surprised to see the group reunited after a long time, calling it a refreshing experience. He also described the person they reunited with as wonderful and the night as a lot of fun.
Will the sisters join the Jonas Brothers on their current tour, similar to how Demi Lovato did last month?
The actress from *The Goldbergs*, who is currently on tour with Aly promoting their new album *Silver Deliverer*, said it’s possible they’ll collaborate again. She explained it depends on their schedules aligning while they’re both touring, which is a bit challenging, but she’d love to make it happen.

Clayton Snyder first became known for playing Ethan Craft in the Hilary Duff comedy series. After that, he stepped away from acting to finish school and play water polo at Pepperdine University. He did make a brief appearance on *NCIS* in 2014, but now he works in real estate.
He’s happy to talk about his time as a young actor, and says it sometimes comes up with clients. He previously told TopMob News that people often recognize him during home showings, but that they ultimately chose to work with him because of his expertise, not his past fame. He enjoys that he can bring a bit of fun to the process while still being valued for his professional work.
Adam Lamberg is best known for playing Gordo, Lizzie’s close friend and eventual boyfriend, in the popular TV show *Lizzie McGuire*. After that, he appeared in the films *When Do We Eat?* and *Beautiful Loser*. He’s also highly educated, with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College. While he was scheduled to reprise his role in the *Lizzie McGuire* reboot, he has generally stepped away from acting.
Lalaine, who played Miranda Sanchez on *Lizzie McGuire*, saw her career fade after she left the show and the 2003 movie due to other filming commitments. She tried to launch a music career, but it wasn’t successful, and a planned *Lizzie McGuire* spin-off series about Miranda’s sister, *What’s Stevie Thinking?*, only filmed a pilot episode. In 2007, she also faced legal trouble and was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, but completed rehab and had the charge removed from her record. While she made a brief appearance in the 2010 film *Easy A*, Lalaine is now more active on Instagram than in acting roles. She did star in a film called *Definition Please*, which was released in 2020.
Jake Thomas is best known for playing Matt McGuire on the Disney Channel’s *Lizzie McGuire*, appearing in all 65 episodes. He continued acting after that, with roles on shows like *Cory in the House*, *ER*, *House*, *Criminal Minds*, *NCIS*, and *S.W.A.T*. He also appeared in the web series *Storytellers* created by YouTuber Joey Graceffa. In 2018, Jake graduated from Cal State University, Northridge, with a degree in Screenwriting and a minor in Japanese. Today, he shares his photography and nostalgic photos from his time as a child actor on Instagram.
Camilla Belle started her career with a leading role in the Disney Channel movie *Rip Girls* in 2000, but took a short break from acting before appearing in the 2006 remake of *When a Stranger Calls* and the popular 2008 film *10,000 BC*.
In late 2008 and early 2009, she briefly dated Joe Jonas, whom she met while filming the Jonas Brothers’ “Lovebug” music video. This relationship was even mentioned in Taylor Swift’s song “Better Than Revenge.”
Since then, she’s primarily focused on independent films, including *Open Road*, *Diablo*, and the 2017 James Franco film *The Mad Whale*. More recently, she’s had roles in the TV series *Dollface* and *Law & Order: Organized Crime*.
I’ve been a fan of Jake T. Austin ever since he played Max Russo on *Wizards of Waverly Place*, and I was so glad to see him land a starring role as Jesus Foster on *The Fosters* right after the show ended in 2012. It was a little sad when he left after two seasons, and Noah Centineo took over, but I continued to follow his career. I even watched him on *Dancing With the Stars*, though he was unfortunately the first one eliminated! He’s also done some great voice work, like in *The Emoji Movie* and the thriller *Adverse* with Mickey Rourke. I was a little disappointed he wasn’t in the first season of the *Wizards* sequel, *Wizards Beyond Waverly Place*, but I’m really hoping he’ll make an appearance in the second season – it would be amazing to see him back!
Since the show ended in 2012, David Henrie, who played Justin Russo, has had a different path than some of his co-stars. He didn’t appear in the follow-up movie, *The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex*, but he’s been in films like *Grown Ups 2* and *Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2*.
He married Maria Cahill, a former Miss Delaware, in April 2017, and they had a daughter, Pia Francesca Philomena Henrie, on March 19, 2019. Around the time they announced they were expecting, Henrie was arrested at LAX for allegedly carrying a loaded gun in the airport. He apologized, and received two years of probation and 20 days of community service.
Now a father of three, he’s teamed up with Selena Gomez to executive produce and star in a new Disney+ spin-off series, *Wizards Beyond Waverly Place*.
Jennifer Stone is known for reprising her role as Harper Finkle, best friend to Alex Russo, in *The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex*. She also appeared in the Lifetime thriller *High School Possession* (2014) and played the Babysitter on Nickelodeon’s *Deadtime Stories*.
In 2013, Stone was diagnosed with LADA, a form of autoimmune diabetes sometimes called Type 1.5. She later used her film, *The In-Between*, to help raise awareness about the condition.
Jennifer and Wizards costar David DeLuise both host the rewatch podcast Wizards of Waverly Pod.
Feeling nostalgic? Mia Talerico was just 10 months old when she began playing Charlie Duncan on the Disney Channel show *Good Luck Charlie*, which first aired in April 2010. After the show ended in 2014, she appeared as Paige in 13 episodes of *Mani*, a series on the YouTube network Brat. She also has her own YouTube channel where she creates videos opening and reviewing toys.
Bridgit Mendler, who played Teddy Duncan on *Good Luck Charlie*, took on more mature roles after the show ended. In 2015, she joined the cast of the NBC comedy *Undateable* for two seasons. Since then, she’s made appearances in a couple of episodes of *Nashville* and the Netflix film *Father of the Year*, as well as the Netflix series *Merry Happy Whatever* alongside Dennis Quaid and Ashley Tisdale.
Beyond acting, Mendler is also a musician, having released two albums. She attended USC to study anthropology and later pursued graduate studies at both MIT and Harvard Law School. Recently, she and her husband, Griffin Cleverly, adopted a four-year-old son and launched Northwood Space, a tech startup focused on building ground stations for satellite communication.
Since the last *Cheetah Girls* movie came out in 2008, Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton have continued to be well-known through acting and hosting. However, Kiely Williams, who used to be in the group 3LW with Adrienne, has lived a somewhat different life.
After appearing in *The House Bunny* in 2008, Kiely had roles in a few films – *Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale* and *Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming* in 2010, and *Holla II* in 2013. She married Brandon “BJ” Cox in December 2016, with Sabrina Bryan from *Cheetah Girls* as a bridesmaid. Kiely, now a mother of two, briefly returned to television in 2017, appearing on *Celebrity Family Feud* alongside Sabrina as part of the Girl Group team.
Following the 2008 release of *Cheetah Girls: One World*, Sabrina Bryan worked as a reporter for TopMob News during the eighth season of *Dancing With the Stars* in 2009. She had previously competed on the show, finishing sixth three seasons earlier. In 2012, she returned to *Dancing With the Stars* as an All-Star, but was again eliminated in sixth place, exactly five years after her first elimination, despite earning perfect scores.
Beyond *Dancing With the Stars*, Sabrina has also done voice work for the Disney Channel animated series *Fish Hooks*. In 2011, she and Kiely Williams launched a web series called *Dinner With Friends*. She married Jordan Lundberg, a strategic accounts manager, on October 6, 2018, after dating for nine years. Currently, she’s tapping into the nostalgia for Disney Channel Original Movies with her iHeartPodcast, *Magical Rewind*, co-hosted with Will Friedle.
Ryan Merriman first gained recognition starring in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie *Smart House* in 1999, and continued to appear in several Disney projects including *The Luck of the Irish* (2001) and *A Ring of Endless Light* (2002). He then transitioned to more mature roles, featuring in horror films such as *Halloween: Resurrection*, *The Ring Two*, and *Final Destination 3*. From 2010 to 2014, he had a recurring role as Ian Thomas on the hit series *Pretty Little Liars*, appearing in 16 episodes. He also played a supporting role in the 2013 Jackie Robinson biopic, *42*. While he continues to act, his recent work has been primarily in independent films.
Merriman married Micol Duncan in 2004, but they divorced in 2011. He announced his engagement to Kristen McCullen on January 1, 2012, and they married in 2014.
Kirsten Storms became a popular face on Disney Channel from 1999 to 2004, starring in the *Zenon* movies, *Johnny Tsunami*, and providing a voice for *Kim Possible*. However, she also began her adult acting career in 2000 with a four-year role on NBC’s *Days of Our Lives*, appearing in 410 episodes.
After a brief attempt at a primetime series with the 2004 CBS baseball drama *Clubhouse*, she returned to daytime television in 2005, joining *General Hospital* as Maxie Jones and staying with the show until 2023 – appearing in over 1,100 episodes!
In 2011, she briefly appeared in the reality TV series *Dirty Soap*, which followed the lives of soap opera stars. In 2013, she and *General Hospital* co-star Brandon Barash revealed they had secretly married in June and were expecting a baby. Their daughter, Harper Rose Barash, was born in January 2014. The couple filed for divorce in April 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
Erik von Detten became a teen idol in 1998 with his role in the Disney Channel movie *Brink!*. He continued to be a familiar face on television, providing voice work for *Recess*, playing John Bryant in *The Princess Diaries*, and starring in the Disney Channel series *So Weird* from 1999 to 2001. He even ventured into early reality TV, appearing on the first celebrity season of *The Mole*, and had roles in shows like *Dinotopia* and *Complete Savages*. More recently, he reprised his role as Sid in *Toy Story 3*, a character he originally played in the first *Toy Story* movie in 1995. Today, Erik works in sales for a finance company and is a father to two children with his wife, Angela.
Raviv Ullman began his career as Ricky Ullman, starring in the Disney Channel series *Phil of the Future* from 2004 to 2006. He then transitioned to more mature roles, appearing in shows like *Big Love* and *House* – the *House* episode in 2006 marked the first time he was credited under his real name. From 2008 to 2009, he was a series regular on the Lifetime comedy *Rita Rocks*. More recently, he’s appeared in an episode of *Broad City* (2015) and had a recurring role in the web series *Strangers* (2018). Between 2012 and 2018, he also performed in several stage productions, and from 2013 to 2014, he played drums in Zoe Kravitz’ band, Lolawolf. In 2022, he told TopMob News that he had just finished directing an opera at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Kimberly J. Brown became famous in 1999 when she starred as Marnie Piper in the Disney Channel movie *Halloweentown*, alongside Debbie Reynolds. The film was so popular it led to three sequels, but surprisingly, the network chose to replace her with Sara Paxton in the fourth film, *Return to Halloweentown* in 2006. That installment is generally considered the weakest in the series.
Outside of *Halloweentown*, Kimberly’s acting roles have been somewhat limited. She appeared in the 2005 film *Be Cool*, a few episodes of AMC’s *Low Winter Sun* in 2013, 15 episodes of *General Hospital* in 2021, and almost 50 episodes of *Guiding Light*.
After earning a business degree in college, she opened an Etsy shop called CraftilyCreative, where she sells various handmade items, including *Halloweentownthemed merchandise. She also co-authored a Halloween children’s book, *Poppin’s Pumpkin Patch Parade*, with Diane Yslas in 2016.
Disney fans were thrilled when she married her *Halloweentown* co-star, Daniel Kountz, in April 2024.
Mitchel Musso gained popularity from 2006 to 2011, playing Oliver Oken, best friend to Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus), on the Disney Channel show *Hannah Montana*. As the series ended, his career was taking off with a leading role in the new show *Pair of Kings* and a hosting job on *PrankStars*. However, his progress was halted in October 2011 when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at age 20. This led to him being removed from *Pair of Kings* and the cancellation of *PrankStars*. Following this, he worked on independent films and provided voice work for the Disney XD series *Milo Murphy’s Law*. In 2023, he was again arrested in Texas, this time for public intoxication and theft.
Jason Earles, known for playing Miley Stewart’s older brother Jackson on *Hannah Montana*, was surprisingly much older than his character – he was 29 when the show started and 34 when it finished, despite his character being written as a tenth grader. He quickly followed that up with a role on the Disney XD comedy *Kickin’ It*, where he played Rudy for four seasons until the show ended in March 2015. More recently, since 2018, he’s appeared on the Brat series *Hotel Du Loone*, which is available on YouTube, and joined the cast of *High School Musical: The Musical: The Series* for its third season. Jason married Katie Drysen in August 2017.
Kyle Massey first became known for playing Cory Baxter on the Disney Channel series *That’s So Raven* from 2003 to 2007, which led to his own spin-off show, *Cory in the House*, lasting until 2008. He continued to work in television, appearing in recurring roles on *The Electric Company* and guest spots on *Gotham* and *Being Mary Jane*. He also lent his voice to animated series like *Fish Hooks*, *Mighty Magiswords*, and *Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles*. Beyond acting, he competed on season 11 of *Dancing With the Stars* and an episode of *Celebrity Family Feud* against Jennie Garth in 2017.
In 2018, reports surfaced that Massey would join the cast of *The Hills: New Beginnings*, but he later confirmed these rumors were false.
In 2021, Massey was charged with a felony related to communication with a minor. His lawyer stated the charges were a resurfacing of allegations from 2019 that had previously been dismissed and that Massey believed the accusations were an attempt at extortion. The lawyer indicated Massey planned a vigorous defense and would pursue civil damages and dismissal of the charges.
A.J. Trauth started his career with roles as Twitty on the show *Even Stevens* (2000-2003) and as the voice of Josh Mankey in a few episodes of *Kim Possible*. He then guest-starred on popular TV shows like *7th Heaven, House, Ghost Whisperer, CSI,* and *Bones* until 2012.
More recently, he’s been in several independent films and provided voice acting for the video games *Wolfenstein: The New Order* and its sequel, *Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus* (2017). A.J. became engaged to actress Leah Pipes in February 2014, after dating for nearly three years, and they married that December. However, they later separated by 2019.
Oh my gosh, Christy Carlson Romano is just incredible! I grew up watching her as Ren Stevens on *Even Stevens*, and then she *was* Kim Possible – seriously, she *was*! And remember *Cadet Kelly* with Hilary Duff? Amazing! But she didn’t stop there! She actually went to Broadway and played Belle in *Beauty and the Beast* for *thirty-one weeks*! Can you believe it? Then she was in *Avenue Q*!
And it’s not just acting! She wrote a novel, *Grace’s Turn*, directed a movie, *Christmas All Over Again*, and even went to Barnard College! She’s so smart and talented! She married Brendan Rooney in 2013, and they have two adorable daughters, the youngest born in 2019.
It was SO exciting to see her back on Disney in the *Kim Possible* movie as Poppy Blu in 2019! But even more than that, I was really touched when she wrote that essay for *Teen Vogue* in May 2019. She was so honest about struggling with depression and drinking after being a child star. She admitted she wasn’t always perfect, and it was so brave of her to share that. It made me admire her even more – she’s a true inspiration!
Brandon Baker started his career with Disney Channel in 1999, starring as Johnny in *Johnny Tsunami*. After that, he took on smaller roles in shows like *Even Stevens*, *Boston Public*, and *The Unit* while studying at UC Santa Barbara. In 2007, he reprised his role as Johnny in the sequel, *Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board*. More recently, he’s been in the independent films *The Formula*, alongside Reginald VelJohnson from *Family Matters*, and *Up on the Wooftop*, which featured Dennis Haskins from *Saved By the Bell* as Santa Claus.
Alana Austin is best known for her role as Andi Carson in the 2001 Disney Channel movie *Motocrossed*. The film follows Andi, a talented teenage motocross enthusiast who disguises herself as her twin brother to compete after he’s injured.
After *Motocrossed*, Austin appeared in a few TV shows like *7th Heaven*, *Boston Public*, and *Cold Case*, but she stopped acting in 2006. She went on to study medicine at USC, and later told a fan on Twitter in 2016 that she was focused on writing, though she still felt a strong connection to acting.
Kay Panabaker first gained recognition on Disney Channel with a role in *Phil of the Future*. She continued starring in several Disney Channel Original Movies, including *Life is Ruff* and *Read It and Weep*, alongside her sister Danielle. She even competed on the first Disney Channel Games in 2006. While she moved towards more mature roles in the 2009 film *Fame* and the 2011 TV series *No Ordinary Family*, she ultimately stepped away from acting in 2012. She then pursued a degree in zoology at UCLA and, surprisingly, was working as an animal keeper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom by 2016.
