Amanda Seyfried needed to give the call sheet on The Housemaid a second look.
Despite appearing with Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar in the psychological thriller, which was adapted from a novel by Freida McFadden, she recently discovered she had a different, significant part in the movie than she originally thought.
Amanda shared on the February 15th episode of The Graham Norton Show that she’s a producer on the project. She was surprised to discover this – she only found out three weeks into filming when she saw the call sheet and realized she was listed as an executive producer, something she hadn’t agreed to.
Once Amanda confirmed she’d be an executive producer—her agent had actually secured the title for her—she felt the stakes were even higher. She remembers thinking, “This absolutely has to be a success.”
Even though she worked on the film, the former Mean Girls actress confessed she didn’t have many responsibilities when it came to the behind-the-scenes work.
She jokingly admitted the credit she received for the film was undeserved. She explained she simply acted in it and didn’t contribute to any other aspect of the production. She described it as a fun, quick job, and was happily surprised to be rewarded with a vacation for her work.
She explained she really wanted to work on the movie because of director Paul Feig. She was excited to fully embrace the project and said the experience has been surprisingly wonderful.

She jokingly demanded to be included in the sequel, saying, “They better put me in the second one!” The series creator, Freida, hopes Amanda might at least make a brief appearance in the next movie.
Even though it’s unclear if she’ll continue with future installments of The Housemaid series, the Mamma Mia! star speaks very highly of her experience making the film and is thrilled with how successful it’s become.
She said the movie was made on a very small budget but surprisingly did very well in theaters. They knew the source material was popular, as it had consistently been a best seller, and she believes they created a fantastic adaptation – even better than the book itself, which the author also agrees with.
She considers her time playing Nina Winchester to be one of the most enjoyable experiences of her acting career.
In a December 2025 interview on Today with Sydney, she described the role as the most enjoyable of her career. She explained that she’d never had such freedom in a part before, and praised director Paul Feig as a master of his craft. She also expressed her excitement about being able to work on an adaptation of such a well-loved book, and how perfectly Paul Feig suited the project.

In June 2024, athlete Jason Kelce jokingly responded to a fan’s comment that he “looks like he doesn’t wash his legs or feet” with a tweet asking, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet…?”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles player later doubled down on his comments.
On his podcast, New Heights, Jason Kelce jokingly asked, “What kind of person washes your feet?” He then added that he would scrub off any visible dirt.

Grandma knows best.
In an October 2022 episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian shared a personal story about how her grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, unexpectedly played a role in a private moment with her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Kim Kardashian told MJ, Kris Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian that she and Pete Davidson were at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend. They were chatting by the fireplace for hours, and Kim remembered something her grandmother had told her: that having sex in front of a fireplace is a way to truly enjoy life. So, she and Pete decided to do just that, as a tribute to her grandmother.
Grandma’s reaction? A nod of approval.
Kim jokingly remarked, “It’s strange to imagine your grandmother while being intimate!” MJ responded with a laugh, “I know, but everyone has a past!”

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have a very close family, including their children, 8-year-old Wyatt and 6-year-old Dimitri, and their love for each other is limitless.
So much so, that the Black Swan actress revealed they keep an open-door policy at home.
She told TopMob News in September 2022 that this even extends to the bathroom. She explained it’s simply become normal for her family and children to openly discuss and accept natural bodily functions.
Mila explained that she finally gave in after her family repeatedly asked to come inside. She said she just decided to leave the door open rather than continue refusing them.
Pre-kids, she might not have imagined she’d flush that particular boundary away.
She said she always thought she’d be someone who needed privacy in the bathroom, but now she’s comfortable with the door open.

Jennifer Garner admitted to a slightly embarrassing on-set accident while filming the 2007 movie The Kingdom. She accidentally bit her own tongue during a fight scene – a bit more than she intended!
Jennifer described a scene with Sala Baker where the director, Pete Berg, instructed her to realistically attempt to fight for her life. She explained that they hadn’t rehearsed much choreography, and Berg told her to do whatever it took to survive.
Honestly, it all happened so fast! He went for it, and I jumped on his back right after. I actually bit his ear – it wasn’t a playful nip, either! We even have a photo to prove it, showing a pretty significant chunk missing. We were totally serious when we say we weren’t messing around!

Ghouls just want to have fun.
During an October 2022 episode of The View, while discussing a woman who claimed her home was haunted by “sexual ghosts,” Sara Haines posed a surprising question to her co-hosts: “Is it possible to get pregnant from a ghost?”
Okay, so things got a little… unexpected on set the other day! We were talking about pregnancies and, well, let’s just say my co-host Joy Behar has a very unique perspective. She jokingly shared that she’s had… experiences… with a few ghosts and, thankfully, no pregnancies resulted! It definitely lightened the mood, and honestly, it’s a story I won’t soon forget. Sometimes you just have to laugh!
“I’m going to leave that comment as is,” Whoopi Goldberg responded. “I’m not sure everyone heard what Joy said, but I’m choosing not to address it further.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb are very close friends, but Hoda recently learned something surprising about her “Today” co-host. While preparing for an episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” Hoda found out that Jenna always goes without underwear.
Hoda Kotb recounted a funny moment on Today with Hoda and Jenna from November 2022. She explained that they both needed to quickly change outfits and had to return to the dressing room. While there, Hoda realized Jenna Bush Hager doesn’t wear underwear.
Jenna’s rationale? Well, no underwear might just be more convenient to her.
She explained that the style creates a more flattering shape and also makes packing easier, adding that there are many benefits to choosing it.

Looks like someone hasn’t been keeping up.
Britney Spears related to a popular line from Keke Palmer – “He could be walking down the street, I wouldn’t know a thing” – and confessed she wasn’t familiar with Pete Davidson or Scott Disick.
Britney shared a funny video from March featuring Pete Davidson—who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time—and Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, Scott Disick, having a night out. She said the video had her laughing a lot.
Britney apologized for sharing the video, explaining she didn’t know who was in it, but it had made her laugh a lot.

Before Chris Evans became famous as Captain America and was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2022, Jana Kramer dated him and thought he was a handsome and charming guy.
The singer shared on her podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer, that this happened over ten years ago. She doesn’t remember exactly how many times they went out, but she does remember their final meeting.
Jana, who was around 26 at the time, said Chris asked her to come over when he had some friends visiting from Boston.
Jana recalled that the last thing she remembered was her partner going to the bathroom right after she’d eaten asparagus, which makes urine smell unusual. They didn’t end up intimate that night. He stayed up late with friends, and the next morning, Jana left his house feeling embarrassed – what she jokingly called the ‘asparagus walk of shame’.
She added, “I never heard from him again.”

Not all of these confessions are amusing.
In December, television writer Elisabeth Finch confessed that she had fabricated a story about having a rare bone cancer. She originally shared the false diagnosis in an ELLE article eight years prior, and it even became the basis for a plotline on the TV show Grey’s Anatomy.
Elisabeth recently shared with The Ankler newsletter that a lie she told at age 34 was her biggest regret. She explained that the lie grew over time and became a heavy burden. She also clarified that she has never been diagnosed with cancer.
Finch, who was temporarily removed from his role on the ABC medical show before ultimately quitting, admitted, “I messed up, and it was completely unacceptable. I take full responsibility for my actions.”

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.
The reality star told The New York Times she’d consider almost any procedure to look younger.
She admitted in June that she’d even consider something drastic – like eating something truly unpleasant daily – if it meant she could look younger. She seemed genuinely open to the idea, saying, ‘I just might.’
In a July 2022 interview with Allure magazine, Kim explained she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.
Kim thought for a moment and then said, ‘Honestly, I’d probably eat something awful if someone promised it would make me look younger – even if it meant eating a bowl of poop every day.’
Asked how much she could eat, she said, “Perhaps just a small bite.” She added that a full bowl would be too much for her.

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April 2025, the singer of “Save Me” shared a truly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to tell all the details.
“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”
To be honest, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.
He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I sincerely apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience turn from supportive to completely against me.”
