Ambrosia Sky, a distinctive science-fiction game blending first-person shooting with immersive simulation, is being released in stages by developer Soft Rains. The first part of the game will be available on PC on November 10, 2025, with the following two parts planned for release sometime in 2026.
Set in the distant future after humanity has left Earth, Ambrosia Sky puts players in the role of Dalia, a member of the Ambrosia project – a research initiative focused on understanding death and achieving immortality.
The game begins with Dalia’s return to Saturn’s rings, where she was raised, only to discover a disaster has struck, leaving everyone either dead or missing. As part of her job, Dalia must clean up hazardous contamination, remove alien fungus, and collect samples. She also performs last rites for the deceased while investigating the mystery of what happened to her home.
Uncovering the secrets of death

I got a chance to play a demo of Ambrosia Sky during Summer Game Fest 2025, and I was immediately impressed by the game’s unique world, which Soft Rains is building. I recently played another demo during Steam Next Fest, and it’s even better.
This new version includes several updates, most notably voice acting for the character Dalia. Her voice adds a lot of emotion to an already atmospheric game. It’s often subtle, but very effective, especially because Dalia is usually alone while trying to figure out what happened.
In the earlier demo from June, Dalia had access to many different sprayers, but this demo changes that. It introduces a skill tree that lets you upgrade those sprayers by collecting different types of fruit.

It’s crucial to be precise when harvesting the fungus during missions, as careless cuts can damage or destroy it through unexpected chain reactions. The game also features immersive sim elements, offering Dalia new ammo types and upgrades to help her complete objectives and explore different approaches. You can even replay missions to find anything you might have missed.
While inspired by games like Prey, Ambrosia Sky feels unique. If you’re looking for something fresh, keep an eye out for the first act when it releases.
You can try a demo right now as part of Steam Next Fest, which runs through October 20th.
The developers have confirmed the game plays well on the Steam Deck and should also run smoothly on other handheld gaming devices, including the ASUS ROG Ally X.
The first chapter of Ambrosia Sky is launching on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
