AMC’s Best Series Just Got Its Wildest Trailer Yet

AMC has a history of producing excellent TV shows, including hits like Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Better Call Saul, and The Walking Dead. Although many of these shows have finished, The Walking Dead continues with the spin-offs Dead City and Daryl Dixon. AMC still offers quality programming, and fans are excited about the upcoming third season of Interview With the Vampire, which will premiere next year. Recently, a new trailer offering a glimpse into the next chapter of the Anne Rice adaptation was released.

At New York Comic Con, AMC shared a longer preview of season 3 of *Interview With the Vampire*, now officially called *The Vampire Lestat*. While fans saw a sneak peek at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, this new trailer shows just how much tension there is between Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat, and gives a great look at Lestat (Sam Reid) as a rock star.

The Vampire Lestat Expands Its Cast — Including the Addition of a Fan Favorite Character

Season three of the show will introduce several new characters from the world of Anne Rice’s *Vampire Chronicles*, including Gabriella (Jennifer Ehle), Marius (Christopher Heyerdahl), Magnus (Damien Atkins), and Baby Jenks (Ella Ballentine). But the biggest reveal came on Friday: Sheila Atim will play Akasha, also known as the Queen of the Damned and the original vampire. Akasha is a crucial character in Lestat’s history, both in his early years and when she’s revived by his music, creating trouble for all vampires. While it’s unknown how the show will adapt her story, it promises to be full of drama and high stakes.

Season 3 Will Be Very Different From Previous Seasons of Interview With the Vampire

Okay, so I just watched the extended teaser for the new season, and it’s become super clear that things are going to be *very* different this time around. The first two seasons of *Interview With the Vampire* were really all about Louis and how *he* saw everything – and his take on Lestat. But season three? It’s Lestat’s turn to tell *his* side of the story, and honestly, it looks like he’s been holding back a *lot*. He’s definitely got a lot to say, and it’s going to be fascinating to finally hear it from his perspective.

Showrunner Rolin Jones described the vibe he’s aiming for in season three as being similar to imagining the character of Lestat, as portrayed in Louis’ portrait, suddenly taking control – if that portrait captured him about 70 to 80 percent accurately.

The third season of *Interview With the Vampire*, now called *The Vampire Lestat*, will premiere on AMC in 2026.
