American Horror Story Season 13 Cast Revealed: Iconic Alum Returning After 7 Years

A familiar face from American Horror Story is coming back for the show’s thirteenth season, as creator Ryan Murphy announces the initial cast. Murphy first ventured into horror just two years after the success of his musical series Glee, launching the anthology show American Horror Story, which has been a fan favorite since 2011.

Okay, so I was thrilled to hear that Jessica Lange is coming back for season 13 of American Horror Story! It’s been seven years since we last saw her, and honestly, it feels like forever. She was amazing in Apocalypse back in 2018 when she brought Constance Langdon back from Murder House. And the best part? She won’t be the only familiar face returning, which is super exciting!

Several returning favorites—including Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Ariana Grande, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman—will star alongside Lange in American Horror Story season 13. All of these actors have previously appeared in shows created by Ryan Murphy, including past seasons of AHS.

Ryan Murphy Productions revealed the cast list on Instagram, ending the announcement with a playful message: “Surprise, b. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”

Although we don’t know the exact date yet, an Instagram post confirmed that season 13 of American Horror Story will be available on FX by Halloween 2026.
