Mike Wolfe and Leticia Cline are on the mend.
I was so sorry to hear that Mike Wolfe from *American Pickers* and his girlfriend were in a car accident over the weekend. They both suffered some pretty serious injuries and ended up needing to be hospitalized. Wishing them both a speedy recovery!
Mike shared a photo on Instagram on September 13th showing a badly damaged classic blue car, writing, “It’s been a rough night, but now there’s light at the end of the tunnel,” according to People magazine.
Oh my gosh, Mike is *home*! And he actually took the time to thank all of us for being there for him while he was in the hospital – it was so scary, I was seriously worried sick! It just makes me love him even more that he appreciates his fans so much.
The speaker, who is 60 years old, expressed strong faith in the effectiveness of praying together. They also thanked everyone who had offered their prayers.
Leticia is recovering from serious injuries, which she detailed in an Instagram post. She shared that she broke her jaw in multiple places, fractured her ribs and sternum, and also suffered a collapsed lung and spinal swelling.
While still hospitalized, Leticia has been grateful for the constant support of the artifact collector, who has stayed by her side throughout her recovery.
I’m so glad to share that things are looking up for this model! She recently told everyone she was able to get out of bed and walk around while still recovering in the hospital – a huge step in the right direction, and really encouraging to see.
In another Instagram Story, the 46-year-old went on to sum up her stay so far.
Okay, seriously, she posted the *sweetest* thing today! She said she had the most amazing pho broth and it basically saved her life! And then she thanked everyone for all the food and flowers they’ve been sending – she said it’s making her sterile hospital room feel so much calmer. I’m just… obsessed with how grateful she is, it’s the cutest!
The business owner also stated that her condition doesn’t prevent her from continuing to work and be active in the community.
Okay, so she posted this amazing update from her *hospital bed* – can you believe it?! She said just because she had to miss a city council meeting doesn’t mean she’s checked out. She was literally reviewing notes, and she wrote that it would take way more than a car crash to stop her from caring about what’s happening in our city! I mean, seriously, this woman is a superhero. I’m completely obsessed with how dedicated she is, even when she’s recovering! It’s just… incredible.
While Leticia and Mike are on the mend, here are some other celebrities who have openly shared their experiences with health challenges…
Nikki Bella, known from *Total Bellas*, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during the elbow of fellow wrestler Piper Niven in a match back in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finished her current commitments – implying after her divorce was finalized – she would return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, anticipating future use. She emphasized the need to fix it so it wouldn’t appear neglected.
Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in *12 Years a Slave*, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids-non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus-in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that girls are often taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman, leaving many to deal with it privately and feeling isolated. It’s something that impacts a lot of us, yet we often struggle with it on our own.
In July 2025, the actress from *Daisy Jones & The Six* revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki replied, jokingly suggesting the reason was a hernia she got six months ago from wearing overly tight pants, and that she’s been afraid to mention it.
The former star of *Beverly Hills, 90210* shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
During a soccer game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, before suddenly collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
The National Women’s Soccer League reported that Savannah received immediate medical attention on the field and was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests. They stated she is currently in stable condition and is alert.
Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 still cause him problems now.
“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the *In Depth With Graham Bensinger* podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation-within the last year, actually.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.
A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, *Trading Secrets*. To illustrate the extent of the issue, he explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even perform a squat or stand on one foot without falling, comparing the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
Gina Kirschenheiter, from *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is now doing okay.
In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.
The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually gotten food poisoning and was starting to feel better.
In February 2025, the former *Even Stevens* star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party. They fired a weapon unsafely, and the bullet struck her. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped, checked her condition, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, with one bullet narrowly missing her right eye by less than an inch.
The former *Kim Possible* star explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, as their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for being alive. She shared how much she loves her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that experiencing a near-death moment made her realize how quickly life can change. She urged everyone to cherish their loved ones and hug them whenever possible.
Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, after it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving criticism online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections following a breast reduction and C-section. She explained that without the online attention, she wouldn’t have connected the injections to her symptoms and discovered she had Cushing syndrome. In a recent newsletter, Schumer shared her relief that her form of Cushing syndrome is temporary and she is healthy, calling it the best news she could have received.
In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN, “We feel very fortunate. No parent should have to go through that.”
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly began having stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then realized she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face started to droop.
Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital for evaluation. Tests revealed she had experienced a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA discovered Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this hole, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now feeling well.
The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.
Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health crisis he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, *What Had Happened Was…*, he explained that he suffered a severe headache while in Atlanta. Before he could take aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. Doctors discovered he’d had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, he woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then spent time in Chicago undergoing rehabilitation and therapy. Foxx expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed them all.
The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
Let me tell you, near-death experiences are incredibly powerful. I was speaking with someone who shared their story, and it was truly moving. They described a feeling of detachment, like floating, and recalled hearing a helicopter. Then, they vividly remembered seeing their grandfather before everything went dark. But then, a light appeared, and in that moment, they *knew* they had passed away. It’s a testament to how our minds work, and how profoundly we can experience even the most unimaginable events.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.
Emilia Clarke, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for *The New Yorker*. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. Emergency surgery was performed to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, credits her family with helping her through a difficult time. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones, who quickly came to her support. She told TopMob News that everyone “came to my rescue.”
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. In addition to recovering from the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems.
Today, Cori is recovering well. She says she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise feeling fine.
Shailene Woodley struggled with her health throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive issues. She consulted many doctors, but received conflicting diagnoses.
Because she comes from a holistic background and studies herbalism, Shailene sought answers from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
The physical discomfort led to emotional struggles, including fear of food and issues with body image and identity. She described a confusing time where she questioned how to feel comfortable in her own body.
Ultimately, Shailene’s health improved, and she is now feeling very well. She shared that her physical issues resolved themselves, and she is happy to be healthy again.
