Sony hasn’t forgotten about its last-gen console, as it’s rolled out a new firmware update for PS4.
This update coincides with a major new release for the PS5 (and especially the anticipated PS5 Pro), improving the performance of its PSSR upscaling technology.
The latest PS4 update isn’t a major overhaul, but it’s still a good idea to install it.
So, what does version 13.50 do? Here’s the official word from Sony:
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
And that’s your lot. We told you it wasn’t exciting.
Even though the PlayStation 5 is now the main focus, Sony continues to support the original PS4 with small updates, and it’s still working well after over ten years.
The fact that the PS4 is still receiving support likely shows how many people are still actively using it.
