Amy has openly discussed her struggles with weight loss, including trying Ozempic, a medication for type 2 diabetes. While some celebrities use it for weight loss because it suppresses appetite, it unfortunately made Amy, 44, very sick and unable to get out of bed.
I recently opened up on *The Howard Stern Show* about a really tough time I went through. I was feeling incredibly sick â actually vomiting â and just generally wasting away. It was a scary experience, to be honest, and I wanted to be open about how unwell I was feeling.
Â
Amy explained that while taking the medication, she felt too tired to play with her and her husband Chris Fisherâs six-year-old son, Gene.
âI’m in bed and my son’s like, âCan you play tag?ââ she recalled. âAnd I’m like, âI canât.â”
She’s happy for people who’ve benefited from Ozempic, but she strongly disapproves of anyone who isn’t honest about using it.
I was so relieved when she finally said what everyone’s thinking! She was on *Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen* last year and just called people out for pretending they’re losing weight through diet and exercise alone. She was like, ‘Seriously, enough with the ‘smaller portions’ excuse!’ She pointed out that a lot of people are probably using medications like Ozempic or have had cosmetic procedures, and she just wants everyone to be honest about it. It was so refreshing to hear!
She added, “Be real with the people. When I got lipo, I said I got lipo.”
