Amy Schumer Bares Toned Stomach After Weight Loss

Amy Schumer is snatched.

The comedian openly shared details about her weight loss, posting a selfie in a bathroom mirror that showed off her fit stomach.

On October 23th, Amy posted a message to her Instagram Story: “No filter, no filler.”

Referencing the water stains on her reflection, she jokingly added, “No clean mirror.”

The 44-year-old has been sharing photos of her fitness journey. Earlier this month, she posted a picture of herself looking slimmer in a short black dress while out with friends in Las Vegas, and people commented on how great she looks.

Kathy Griffin playfully expressed her annoyance with Lee Daniels’ legs, saying she could hardly speak to him. Daniels responded with a teasing comment, calling him “Skinnnnnnnny mommmmma.”

Added Amy Sedaris, “You look incredible. Look at those pins!!!”

Amy was overjoyed by all the positive feedback. When people left supportive comments, she playfully replied, “My legs thank you!”

However, the reality star has faced challenges of her own. Taking Ozempic—a medication for type 2 diabetes that some celebrities use for weight loss because it suppresses appetite—actually left her feeling too sick to get out of bed.

Amy shared on The Howard Stern Show in January that she had been vomiting and felt like she was wasting away.

Amy explained that while taking the medication, she felt too tired to play with her and her husband Chris Fisher’s six-year-old son, Gene.

“I’m in bed and my son’s like, ‘Can you play tag?’” she recalled. “And I’m like, ‘I can’t.’”

Amy still thinks it’s important to be upfront about taking the medication, even though it hasn’t been officially approved for weight loss.

She said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2023 that people were being dishonest about their weight loss. “Everyone keeps saying, ‘Just smaller portions,’ and it’s ridiculous,” she explained. “Either they’re using medications like Ozempic, or they’ve had cosmetic procedures. They should just be honest about it.”

The Trainwreck actress added, “Be real with the people. When I got lipo, I said I got lipo.”

She explained in June 2024 that whatever it was, it didn’t reduce her hunger at all. Unlike some people who lose their appetite, she was still eating appetizers, a full meal, and even dessert. Seeing it work for others while it had no effect on her left her feeling down and wondering what was wrong with her.

She remembered returning from vacation and immediately using the medication. A few days later, while having lunch with a friend, the friend mentioned feeling nauseous and revealed she was taking Ozempic. The woman realized she was also feeling unwell, but initially attributed it to jet lag from her trip to Spain.

Handler eventually quit taking the medication because she didn’t need it for health reasons, and she shared her leftover supply with friends.

Okay, let me tell you about something I recently experienced. I actually tried Ozempic for a bit, but quickly realized it wasn’t for me – honestly, I felt it was a bit much. What’s interesting is, a few of my friends were curious about it, so I ended up letting them try some of my supply. It got to the point where I was scheduling appointments at my house, almost like a little clinic, to help them with it. It sounds a little crazy now, but at the time, we were all just experimenting and being supportive of each other’s wellness journeys.

She didn’t need to lose a lot of weight herself, but she was curious to experience it firsthand, since many of her patients used it. She wanted to see what it was like for someone who isn’t diabetic and only needs to lose about ten or fifteen pounds.

Dr. Dubrow wouldn’t say exactly how much weight he lost or how long he used the medication, but he did confirm that he’s stopped taking it.

He decided to stop taking the medication because he wanted to regain his appetite, and he’d also been feeling mildly nauseous.
