Adult Swim on Cartoon Network has launched many popular animated series, including hits like Primal, Smiling Friends, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Venture Bros., ensuring its place in animation history. However, not every show associated with Adult Swim finds long-term success. Recently, a long-running game originating from the network announced it will conclude this year, signaling the end of the Smith family’s adventures for its players.
The mobile game Pocket Mortys, based on the popular animated show Rick & Morty, is ending after ten years. Launched in 2016, the game will officially shut down on April 13th. The creators announced that as a thank you to players, all in-game items and rewards are now available for free until the game’s final day. They encourage fans to continue playing until then.
Rick And Morty’s Digital Misadventures

If you haven’t played Pocket Mortys, it’s a funny game that’s very similar to Pokémon. You collect different versions of Morty Smith from across various realities, and each one has unique powers you can use in battles. The game actually connects well with the Rick and Morty show’s overall storyline, bringing together the Council of Ricks and the many alternate universes we see on screen.
The future of Rick and Morty is looking secure, but a release date for season nine hasn’t been announced yet. While fans hope it will arrive in 2026, there’s been no official confirmation. The good news is that Adult Swim has already renewed the show through at least season twelve, meaning we’ll be seeing more adventures with the Smith family for years to come. Given the show’s unpredictable nature, it’s hard to say where Rick and Morty will end up next!
In a surprising move, Adult Swim is developing a spin-off series centered around a popular supporting character from its universe. Despite the previous anime attempt, Rick and Morty: The Anime, not being a hit with everyone, Cartoon Network is optimistic about this new show featuring Keith David as President Curtis. While the series is officially part of the Rick and Morty universe, details like a release date are still unknown, similar to the ninth season of the original show.
