However, not every show associated with Adult Swim finds long-term success. Recently, a long-running game originating from the network announced it will conclude this year, signaling the end of the Smith family’s adventures for its players.

The mobile game Pocket Mortys, based on the popular animated show Rick & Morty, is ending after ten years. Launched in 2016, the game will officially shut down on April 13th. The creators announced that as a thank you to players, all in-game items and rewards are now available for free until the game’s final day. They encourage fans to continue playing until then.

If you haven’t played Pocket Mortys, it’s a funny game that’s very similar to Pokémon. You collect different versions of Morty Smith from across various realities, and each one has unique powers you can use in battles. The future of Rick and Morty is looking secure, but a release date for season nine hasn’t been announced yet. While fans hope it will arrive in 2026, there’s been no official confirmation. The good news is that Adult Swim has already renewed the show through at least season twelve, meaning we’ll be seeing more adventures with the Smith family for years to come.
