Generally speaking, most people believe that the Spider-Man films featuring Andrew Garfield don’t rank highest among the franchise. However, it’s widely understood that the subpar performance of these movies isn’t due to the acting skills of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. In fact, there are many who appreciate his portrayal and were thrilled to see him reappear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Since then, there has been something of a campaign to see Garfield’s Peter Parker return, in either the Amazing Spider-Man 3 that we never saw or in some other project. For his part, Garfield admitted during the recent Middle East Film & Comic-Con (via ET) that he would love to play Spidey again, but only under specific conditions. Garfield said…
I had a blast playing Spider-Man, and I’d be thrilled to reprise the role somehow. However, it might feel odd. What I’d really like is to do something unusual or out of the ordinary. Something unique, offbeat, even surprising – similar to the creative liberties taken in the animated Spider-Verse films. These movies are fantastic, and they show how much you can explore the character in various ways across different realities.
At this moment, it appears extremely improbable for the production of The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Given that ship has probably already passed. It doesn’t seem like Andrew Garfield would be interested in such a project if given the chance. Instead, he seems more inclined towards something a bit unconventional.
It’s not too unexpected that Garfield might have accepted the end of his franchise. Since he no longer needs a fresh “Amazing” movie, it could be that his character’s presence in the Marvel multiverse offers an opportunity to explore something new or unique about him. And from what we can tell, the actor appears enthusiastic about these possibilities.

It seems like an outstanding proposal! While many fans are eager for Andrew Garfield to reprise his role as Peter Parker, we currently have a running series of traditional live-action Spider-Man films titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” If we’re going to delve further into Garfield’s character, it needs a unique twist.
Regrettably, it appears that the opportunity for more Marvel multiverse movies exploring unique concepts, such as a refreshed take on the Fantastic Four, might have already passed us by. Given the impending conclusion of the Multiverse Saga, it seems unlikely that there will be significant plans to delve further into this concept following Secret Wars.
Given that the upcoming film “Avengers: Doomsday” is expected to resurrect some iconic superheroes, played by the X-Men actors from Fox, and considering “Secret Wars” might follow suit, there’s a possibility Andrew Garfield could reprise his role as Spider-Man. With such a movie potentially exploring unconventional aspects of his character, it seems Garfield’s wish for a return to the silver screen could come true.
