Andy Cohen Jokes Jenna Bush Hager’s Home Is “Filthy” Amid Mouse Issue

Jenna Bush Hagerhasn’t been able to get rid of her unwelcome house guests. 

After revealing to her Today with Jenna & Friends colleague Andy Cohen that she has a minor mouse problem at her house, he playfully teased her about how tidy her home is.

During her morning talk show on November 25th, Andy, 57, casually asked Jenna, 44, about the mice problem at her house. Jenna confirmed that it was still ongoing.

The journalist previously shared that her Siberian cat enjoys playing with mice, but doesn’t hurt them. She also mentioned that her husband, Henry Hager, and their three children – Mila (12), Poppy (10), and Henry (6) – have only spotted two mice in their house. Her friend, Andy, suggested she call an exterminator and use a glue trap to deal with the mice.

The Bravo host, who has two children—6-year-old Benjamin and 3-year-old Lucy—then gave her some additional tips on dealing with the problem.

He pointed out that because they have a pet, they need to clean up its food. He also suggested putting any food the kids make for them into containers and added that he’s beginning to suspect the house isn’t very clean.

Shocked, Jenna immediately defended the state of her humble abode.

“That’s not true!” she said with a laugh. “Actually, I find vacuuming really relaxing. It helps me de-stress, and it keeps my house spotless.”

After Jenna mentioned the mice, PETA contacted the show to explain why Andy’s idea of using a trap wasn’t the best solution for the animals’ safety.

Andy acknowledged the other side had some valid arguments, particularly concerning the harm caused to animals by the traps. He also mentioned they suggested sealing up any holes in homes to prevent pests from entering.

Jenna has a history of surprising revelations on her talk show. Previously this summer, she admitted to telling her parents, George W. Bush and Laura Bush, a fabricated story about being kidnapped when she was younger.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! She told Bowen Yang on the show that when she was in first grade, she actually tried to fake her own kidnapping! Can you even imagine?! But it totally backfired because… the Secret Service showed up! Apparently, she’d stayed late at school and was just worried her mom would be furious, so she thought disappearing would… solve things? It was a disaster, her mom was just looking for her, and then BAM! Secret Service! It’s the most her thing ever, honestly.

However, her plan quickly backfired. 

She explained that her mother could tell she wasn’t being truthful, but the Secret Service agents hadn’t caught on, which is why she had to apologize.
