Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a big leap forward for the series, but many players felt one feature was missing. Released in 2020, the game provided comfort and fun for a lot of people during a challenging period, and its relaxing atmosphere and charming style were perfectly suited to the moment.
While many fans still love the latest Animal Crossing game, Nintendoās choices werenāt universally praised. The game boasts a new look and plenty of activities, but some popular features from past games are notably absent. This has led some players to believe it’s actually a step back from Animal Crossing: New Leaf. One missing feature, in particular, has really disappointed fans.
Animal Crossing Fans Want Club LOL Back
Fun And Full Of Personality
Fans are disappointed that the popular Club LOL isn’t included in New Horizons. Reddit user SamTheMarioMaster2 expressed their frustration, saying they “wish this was in New Horizons” and feel the new game is a step backward compared to New Leaf despite being intended as an improvement.
Club Lol was a fun spot in New Leaf where you could go to see shows and hang out with other characters. It was similar to the Roost in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, acting as a central meeting place. The club was managed by Dr. Shrunk, a funny axolotl comedian who isnāt in New Horizons. Players could chat with him, trade snacks to learn about different feelings, and enjoy performances.
Man, I really miss when K.K. Slider would just show up and play guitar, or even do a whole DJ set! It was so cool seeing all the villagers hanging out at the shows with you too. It added so much to the game, and honestly, it’s a bummer they didn’t bring that back in the newest Animal Crossing game. A lot of us were hoping for it!
New Horizons Is Still Missing A Lot
ACNH Could Have So Much More
Club LOL isn’t the only popular feature missing from the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One Reddit user, autopsychography, expressed disappointment, saying they don’t understand why so many memorable characters were left out. They feel New Horizons lacks the personality of older games and feels more focused on construction than building relationships and experiencing a lively town.
Players also shared their frustrations with New Horizons, mentioning a lack of nighttime activities, limited options to upgrade Nook’s Cranny, and the absence of minigames, among other things.
Many players feel that Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesnāt have as much content or feel as full as earlier games in the series. Currently, Nintendo hasnāt announced any plans for a new Animal Crossing game. While we wait for news, fans are hoping the next installment will offer more features and activities than its predecessor.
