The highly anticipated anime film, *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle*, has arrived in US theaters and delivered a record-breaking opening weekend. It earned an impressive $70 million, making it the biggest anime movie release ever in the US and the highest-grossing opening for an R-rated animated film. The movie is available with both Japanese subtitles and an English dub, featuring the original voice actors from the *Demon Slayer* anime series, as well as some exciting new additions to the cast, including a well-known Hollywood actor.
Fans were surprised and excited to learn that actor Channing Tatum would be doing voice work for *Demon Slayer: The Movie – Infinity Castle*. Tatum has often talked about his love for anime, sharing that he enjoys watching it with his daughter, Everly. The pair even attended the US premiere of the film together and spoke with Entertainment Tonight about their favorite anime. While they both expressed their enjoyment of *Demon Slayer*, it was Everly who unexpectedly shared that they also love *Black Clover*, a recommendation that Channing supported.

Black Clover has built a dedicated following, with fans enjoying its characters and how the story unfolds. Channing and his daughter are among those who appreciate the series. The anime has been airing since 2017, and the manga has been around since 2015. Despite some criticism, the show continues to be quite popular. In addition to walking the red carpet, Crunchyroll has also released video of Channing voicing a character from Demon Slayer.
Black Clover is an anime series about a world filled with magic. It’s produced by Pierrot Studios, known for other popular shows like Naruto, YuYu Hakusho, and Tokyo Ghoul. Although the anime has run for 170 episodes and continues to be made, it hasn’t always been popular with dedicated anime fans. Some critics feel it borrows too much from other action series, especially Naruto and One Piece, as it follows a similar story of a young hero with big dreams – Asta wants to become the Wizard King, much like Naruto dreamed of being Hokage and Luffy wanted to be Pirate King. Pierrot Studio is also sometimes considered to have lower animation quality compared to other, more well-regarded studios.
Channing Tatum has brought his daughter, Everly, to several anime movie premieres, including one for *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To The Hashira Training*. His appearances at these events probably helped Crunchyroll decide to cast him in the upcoming *Demon Slayer* movie. *Infinity Castle* will be a series of three films that conclude the story.
