Anna Carwell’s Widower Eldridge Toney Expecting Baby with Fiancée

Eldridge Toney is getting an exciting new role: Dad. 

Just over two years after the passing of his wife, Anna Cardwell, known from the show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Jessie English, his fiancée, has announced that they are expecting their first child together.

I was so thrilled to share the news! On January 25th, I posted on Instagram revealing we’re expecting a little one – Baby Toney, due in September! We’re calling him Eldridge Toney, and we couldn’t be happier!

I noticed a really sweet photo included with the post – Eldridge and Jessie were beaming as they took a selfie together. It just felt like a genuine moment of happiness they wanted to share!

This will be Eldridge’s first child. He previously helped raise Anna’s two daughters, Kaitlyn, 12, and Kylee, 9, until she sadly passed away from cancer in 2023. Following Anna’s death, her mother, June Shannon, was granted custody of Kaitlyn in 2024, and Kylee now lives with her father. Jessie also has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Eldridge and Jessie’s news comes a month after they announced their engagement on Christmas Day. 

Jessie announced her engagement with a sweet Instagram post on December 25th! She shared photos of her ring and a cozy picture with Eldridge, both wearing matching pajamas. Her caption read, ‘Mrs. Toney has a nice ring to it!’ and included a loving message to Eldridge: ‘I love you!’

Eldridge and Jessie started dating in March 2025 after connecting on Tinder. Jessie has also been welcomed by Eldridge’s family, who approve of their relationship.

Eldridge told Us Weekly in December that Anna’s family has met his partner and really likes her. They visit often, including for holidays, to see their daughter, Kaitlyn, who loves her too, which Eldridge says is very important to him.

“She has also met Kylee,” he added. “Who also loves Jessie.”

What’s more, Eldridge credited his fiancée for being by his side through his grief.

He said his wife understands he has good days and bad days when he’s thinking about Anna, and that she’s always very supportive.

He felt optimistic about their future, based on their conversations and current progress. While acknowledging some might think he was moving on quickly, he believed Anna wouldn’t want him to be unhappy for long.
