Fans have a lot to look forward to! The Immortal Universe is thriving, and after a successful start in 2022, it’s getting even bigger with the upcoming release of a highly anticipated new installment.
At New York Comic-Con, AMC presented a preview of its plans for the world of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe. They showcased footage and revealed new information about the popular series *The Vampire Lestat*, as well as an unnamed project, and the upcoming *Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order*.
AMC finally gave fans a first glimpse of its new series. The preview featured Daniel Molloy (played by Eric Bogosian) questioning Guy about why his book on vampires mentioned Anna Leamas, Guy’s mother. The clip also hinted at a hidden organization that monitors and controls supernatural beings worldwide. Daniel explained he didn’t write Anna’s name into the book himself, but rather the Talamasca did.
The panel featured Mark Johnson, executive producer of the Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, along with John Lee Hancock, showrunner and executive producer of *Talamasca: The Secret Order*, and stars Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, and special guest Eric Bogosian. They also revealed the premiere date for the six-episode series: Sunday, October 26th, on AMC and AMC+.
The Vampire Lestat Teased an Extended First Look at Season 3
Fans of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe received some great news about not only Talamasca: The Secret Order, but also The Vampire Lestat. Along with an extended preview of Season 3, the show announced Sheila Atim, known for her role in The Woman King, will play Akasha, the original vampire and Queen of the Damned.
The cast also features Noah Reid (known from *Schitt’s Creek*), playing Larry; Ryan Kattner (*Destroy All Neighbors*) as Salamander; Seamus Patterson (*Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities*) as Alex; and Sarah Swire (*The Boys*) as TC.
Talamasca: The Secret Order premieres on AMC on Oct. 26. The Vampire Lestat will return in 2026.
