Ant and Dec hit with triple blow at the TRIC Awards as they are snubbed in three categories – as full list of winners is revealed

On Tuesday evening, during the Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards held at Grosvenor House in London, Ant and Dec suffered a trio of setbacks.

The pair from the Geordie region, each aged 49, received nominations in three different categories – Entertainment, Game Show, and Television Personality – but unfortunately, they didn’t win any of these nominations.

Ant and Dec received a nomination for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in the Entertainment category, but Clarkson’s Farm took home the award.

Additionally, they suffered defeat in the game show competition following their nomination for their series titled “Limitless Win,” ultimately losing against the elite “1% Club.

They also lost to Bradley Walsh in the TV Personality category.

In short, Stacey Solomon wasn’t awarded the title of Social Media Broadcaster again, as she missed out on the prize at the awards ceremony.

The television host was also recognized for an award, sharing the nomination with Eddie Hall (The Beast), Rob Beckett, and LadBaby. However, it was LadBaby who ultimately received the honor.

In the recent past, Stacey, aged 35, experienced a setback as her show “Sort Your Life Out” missed out on winning the Factual Entertainment award at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards.

Once more, I find myself missing out on an award following the announcement of this year’s TRIC winners, as determined by over a million votes cast by the public in the United Kingdom, among a group of candidates who had been previously nominated.

In simple terms, Six Nations Rugby was awarded the title for Best Live Sports Event, while GB News Breakfast received recognition in the News Category.

In a competitive contest against Dan Walker, Fiona Bruce, and Susanna Reid, Charlie Peters emerged victorious as the top News Presenter.

Among the nominees for the Radio Presenter award, it was Jordan North who emerged as the top choice, surpassing Ally McCoist, Simon Mayo, and Vernon Kay.

In this category, you’ll find popular radio shows such as Capital Breakfast hosted by Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby, Heart Breakfast featuring Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, Rylan on Sunday, and White & Jordan.

But it was Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden that won the award. 

In a recent awards ceremony, Steve McFadden from EastEnders was honored with the Soap Actor award for his portrayal of Phil Mitchell. Additionally, EastEnders itself was recognized as the Soap of the Year.

Among the other contenders, including Barney Walsh (Cam Mickelthwaite in Casualty), Beth Cordingly (Ruby Fox-Milligan in Emmerdale), and Jack P Shepherd (David Platt in Coronation Street), he emerged victorious.

During the ceremony, Eamonn Holmes received jeers as he collected the award for GB News under the News category.

65-year-old presenter was wheeled onto the stage using a ramp, then graciously received the award, representing the GB News Breakfast team.

Although Eamonn expressed gratitude towards the crew and remote viewers, a displeased reaction emerged from the audience upon GB News’ victory announcement. One spectator even interrupted Eamonn’s speech with boos and further heckles.

Eamonn acknowledged the team and home viewers as GB News won, but the audience responded negatively, with one person even interrupting his speech with boos and insults.

According to a source, after GB News Breakfast was declared the winner, there were some disapproving murmurs in the room. Since he used a wheelchair, Eamonn required a ramp to ascend the stage.

He delivered an emotional talk highlighting the outstanding work of colleague Charles Peters, who had previously been awarded the title of News Presenter for his efforts in unmasking the grooming gangs operating within Britain.

It was heartwarming to witness Eamonn honoring a colleague news presenter, yet it appeared that one person in the crowd had a different opinion.
