Ant Anstead Details “Core Memory” Fishing Trip With Son Hudson

Christina Haack‘s ex Ant Anstead and their son tackled Thanksgiving in the sweetest way.

I love sharing experiences with my son, Hudson London Anstead, and our recent fishing trip was extra special! He was so thrilled to reel in his very first catches – it was a really proud moment for both of us.

Ant shared on Instagram November 29th that this week brought a special first: a fishing trip! He posted photos of him and Hudson, including one of Hudson proudly holding the two Bluestriped Grunt fish he caught all on his own.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I always cherish moments of connection with nature, and this Thanksgiving was no exception! My partner, Renée Zellweger, and I stumbled upon some fish under a Florida bridge – we weren’t quite sure what kind, but we gently returned them to the water. It was a truly special and memorable experience.

Ant and Hudson went on a fishing trip for the holidays a couple of months after Ant got back together with Christina – they separated in 2020 after almost two years of marriage – to celebrate their son’s birthday.

I was so excited to see Hudson celebrating his 6th birthday – it was his ‘golden birthday’ since it fell on the 6th of the month! Ant shared a sweet photo on Instagram from the party, which was held at this awesome indoor playground. It was such a fun day for the whole family, including Ant’s older kids, Amelie and Archie. Honestly, it was just a perfect moment – a true ‘Legend!’ as Ant said.

Hudson’s dad wrote, “We’re having a wild celebration this weekend for our amazing son – everyone will need to rest afterwards! We love you, Hudson!”

Christina and her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, share two children, 15-year-old Taylor and 10-year-old Brayden. While things were difficult between Christina and her other ex-husband, Ant, after their split, she shared last year that he surprisingly offered support following her 2024 breakup from her second husband, Josh Hall.

Christina recounted on the podcast The Flip Off that she visited Ant’s house in February to pick up Hudson for a birthday party. She described being met with a warm hug – the first in years – and Ant’s heartfelt apology for the difficulties she was facing, along with his offer of unwavering support.

She described it as a lovely moment, explaining they had a lengthy conversation afterward and agreed to focus on what’s best for their child, working together as positive co-parents, just like Tarek and I are for Hudson.
