Ant and Dec have hosted popular TV shows for more than thirty years, and they continue to be a successful duo with no plans to retire.
Even though Saturday Night Takeaway isn’t currently on air, Ant and Dec have been keeping busy with shows like Limitless Win, Britain’s Got Talent, and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which is coming back to ITV soon. They also have other projects in the works.
The popular hosting pair won the Variety Silver Heart Award for their significant impact on television at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards over the weekend. They jokingly suggested that if the award was a hint to retire, fans might be upset.
During their acceptance speech, the duo jokingly responded to the award for Outstanding Contribution to Television by saying that if it was a hint they should retire, they’d have to disappoint the audience. They’ve just completed auditions for the nineteenth season of Britain’s Got Talent.

The presenters shared that they have some new and exciting projects planned for next year, and emphasized that they are only just beginning their work.
Honestly, if we could go back and tell our younger selves, the two kids on the set of Byker Grove in the 90s, that we’d be here tonight accepting such a special award in front of so many incredible people, we wouldn’t believe it. And even now, it feels unbelievable.
After 23 years, Ant & Dec didn’t win the Presenter award at the National Television Awards this year. Gary Lineker won instead, and the winner was chosen by public vote.
Accepting the award, Lineker said: “Blimey, I’ve won the Ant & Dec trophy!”
He playfully recalled initially believing the two up-and-coming presenters from Newcastle would win the NTA Presenter Award, but only after Newcastle United won a trophy – something they finally achieved last season.
