The ongoing story of Marvel’s multiverse is getting fans excited about the possibility of seeing beloved characters return. Comments made by an actor known for playing Ant-Man at a recent fan event have led to speculation about how some supporting heroes might appear in future films like *Avengers: Doomsday* and beyond, but Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
David Dastmalchian on how he can return as Veb and Kurt in the MCU
In a recent interview with The Direct, David Dastmalchian talked about the possibility of his Marvel characters, Veb and Kurt, appearing in future MCU films. He believes it wouldn’t make sense to leave his character, Veb – the alien who specializes in languages – out of the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday*, especially with rumors of a multiverse storyline. Dastmalchian suggested Veb could play a crucial role in helping different universes communicate, just as he did in *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania*.
Dastmalchian believes the Fantastic Four’s upcoming adventures across multiple universes will be confusing without a universal translator. He suggests Marvel introduce a character named Veb to help the team communicate with the various beings they’ll encounter, effectively making them the “Fantastic Five.”
Dastmalchian jokingly suggested bringing his Ant-Man character, Kurt, back to help with the Avengers’ technology. He playfully campaigned for his character, Veb, to join the ‘Fantastic Five,’ and added that Kurt could be put to work fixing all the computers at Avengers HQ, urging Marvel to consider the idea.
Though they started as funny supporting characters, both Veb and Kurt have become popular with fans throughout the Ant-Man movies. Actor Doug Dastmalchian shared his thoughts as Marvel continues to build its multiverse story with upcoming films like Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. He pointed out that characters like Veb and Kurt could play a bigger role in future team-up movies, potentially allowing the Marvel Cinematic Universe to explore new worlds, technologies, and even alien languages.
