This Friday, Netflix subscribers can watch Jake Paul in what’s being called his biggest boxing match yet. He’s expected to be the clear loser against Olympic champion Anthony Joshua. However, Joshua might already be thinking about an even tougher fight after this one with Paul.
Sky Sports reports that Anthony Joshua, following his fight with Francis Ngannou (previously known as Paul), is likely in talks to fight Tyson Fury sometime in 2026. While nothing is confirmed, discussions are reportedly underway for a potential fight early next year.

What Tyson Fury’s Promoter Said About A Future Fight With Anthony Joshua
Frank Warren, who promotes Tyson Fury, discussed the upcoming fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul with Sky Sports. He also brought up the possibility of a fight between Joshua and Fury, but with one key condition being discussed.
Discussions are underway, though nothing is official yet. Tyson has expressed interest if the terms are favorable, so things seem to be progressing well. We expect an announcement soon. He might have a tune-up fight beforehand, but if this fight materializes – and I’m confident it will – it’ll likely be late summer. That’s still about seven months off, so he’ll probably have another fight before then if he decides to return.
It seems like securing the right agreement is crucial, as it would allow the fight promoter to step back from this announcement if needed. Tyson Fury has a history of surprising moves – for example, he hinted at joining WWE after initially retiring from boxing in 2022. He later returned to the ring and won another fight in 2024. According to Warren, Fury has retired from boxing again, but he’s remained in good condition and is prepared to fight again next year.

Could Jake Paul Ruin This Deal?
A fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury might happen in 2026, but Jake Paul could get in the way. Frank Warren believes Paul would easily lose to Joshua, but if Paul were to win, Warren argues Joshua wouldn’t be ready to fight Fury, even if Fury were much older.

Jake Paul believes he has a strategic advantage over Anthony Joshua, and it seems he isn’t underestimating their upcoming fight.
Hearing about this potential deal before the fight is good – it makes me feel more confident that Anthony Joshua is taking it seriously and won’t hold back against Jake Paul. It sounds like a loss means he’ll miss out on a fight with Tyson Fury in 2026, and honestly, he shouldn’t be expected to fight Fury after a defeat.
Jake Paul already had a lot riding on this fight. He’s been trying to earn a title shot for a while, and it looks like his only path to getting one is by facing boxers who are much more skilled than he is. Even if he were to win against Joshua, it’s unlikely Tyson Fury would want to fight him – unless it was for entertainment in a WWE event with his brother, Logan, which isn’t something Jake wants. This leaves fans wondering if Jake will continue to pursue recognition from the top boxers, despite the challenges.
The highly anticipated boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will be streamed live on Netflix on Friday, December 19th. Don’t miss the action as Paul attempts to prove his doubters wrong.
